The most amazing part of this video is that you posed as an old man who was just a beginner and these top dancers were willing to dance with you. The salsa girls would pretend not to notice you and walk past you to dance with someone else. Argentine tango dancers probably would have given you a chance.

From my experience this isn't a strange thing with Swing dancing or Balboa. Everyone was a beginner at some time.

Men in Salsa here in Sweden will not invite you to a dance unless you're good-looking or they've seen your skills before. It's such a shallow crowd that led me to stop going to social dancing. So happy that I've found WCS!

This is the first time I’ve seen this dancing thing. It’s was so wonderful to see people having so much fun and enjoying themselves. When I think of all the horrible things every where you look on KZbin. So much negativity in the media and such. This video made me cry - seeing joy thinking maybe not all is lost. Thank you for making a happy video.

Oi, I went pair dancing for the first time the other day, and it was awesome. My hands did get sweaty when I got paired with a pretty girl, but was still the most fun I've had this year! I moved to Spain, and it's hard to find the same style of dance, so I just went to a salsa & bachata party instead

@anthonyorafferty56325 ай бұрын
"The feel is always the same" love that. Women are so in feeling. There always (often) seems to be more than the moves. When women ask I guy to dance it's somehow he's a conduit for her etherial experience.
@exkronoschick4 ай бұрын
WCS dancer here - Although honestly I bet that alot of pros are used to people trying to copy their moves and I can def see a pro level follower just thinking that the guy was trying to lead the same moves Blake does. True you can kinda tell, but honestly if you're on autopilot following and not expecting him to be there, I can see how they could be just thinking who is this guy?

We have to start somewhere and if you can't dance as a beginner, how can you improve and how can the dance survive and grow? That's what I enjoy about the swing dance community of Phoenix. For me this is one of the most thrilling videos I've seen, And I'm kind of a video addict, I've been a dancer all my life, my specialty was freestyle also salsa and merengue, and cumbia, I'm a white girl, who specializes in Latin. But this dance looks like so much fun I'm actually going to start searching my city to see if I can take lessons in this I've never heard of this exact style of dance.... I truly want to take lessons in this, ......I walked away from salsa because in my city of San Diego everybody's not much more than a beginner so I left it, But this style of dance looks incredibly intriguing Thank you So So much for putting up this video 💕💕💖🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟☺️🥰🥰🥰

I enjoyed it. Observation. As dancers get older, many migrate to salon style Argentine tango. I shifted from ballroom, Balboa, West Coast Swing to tango. Some of my partners have been close to 100 years old. In most dance forms, one can not adjust the timing and movements to the capabilities of the partner. One can in salon tango and still appear graceful.

For those who don't dance, the way you dance is as distinctive as your voice. You have a unique body, a unique history, a preference for certain moves and much more that flavours the way you dance. This distinction is even more apparent for leaders because they are generally making the majority of decisions in a dance. I'm more surprised these partners weren't quicker to recognise him, people are so unique with their dancing it's often easy to pickup on.

I'm both a dancer and a special effects artist. It's insanely hard to do pore-realistic prosthetics that read as real from 3 inches away, unless you have a massive budget, custom molds and pigment work, and an artist team with decades of extreme closeup experience. Sweating and smiling and talking underneath the prosthetics loosens them up quickly too (unless you're prosaided to the nines, which is a pain in the a** to take off), so this was a very tall order. I would have been so distracted with analyzing which type of prosthetic they used and looking at the detail work I would probably forget to dance 😄

I would have tacked down the brows then use facial hair prosthedics a bald cap or frontlace wig in a long salt and pepper/ silver color with matching beard and mustach and used oil based makeup to add liver spots...which look more natural in natural lighting.
