I thought I read somewhere that there was a poll where the community would decide who won the event, but I couldn’t find it so I don’t know if that’s true. Regardless, if there were two endings to this, it was going to involve Horizon getting the gauntlet regardless, so I’m really happy it was Octane who won. This bit of characterization was really sweet to see, can’t wait to see what’s next!

basically it was decided ingame by whoever played (got more kills? won? unsure) horizon and octane collectively more... octane was always gonna win that lol but for plot reasons horizon did have to get the gauntlet yea

i thought this part of the story will be more cooperative and collaborative with the players. like having to play either as horizon or octane and seeing who's got to kill more of it's other in game
