Madlib’s been doing this since the 90s bro. He’s kept evolving
@adamrunyan19834 жыл бұрын
Also, this is Four Tet arranging stuff that madlib gave him Kieren Hebden AKA Four Tet: A few months ago I completed work on an album with my friend Madlib that we’d been making for the last few years. He is always making loads of music in all sorts of styles and I was listening to some of his new beats and studio sessions when I had the idea that it would be great to hear some of these ideas made into a Madlib solo album. Not made into beats for vocalists to use but instead arranged into tracks that could all flow together in an album designed to be listened to start to finish. I put this concept to him when we were hanging out eating some nice food one day and we decided to work on this together with him sending me tracks, loops, ideas and experiments that I would arrange, edit, manipulate and combine. I was sent hundreds of pieces of music over a couple of years stretch and during that time I put together this album with all the parts that fitted with my vision.

For anyone interested, cymatics is the study of visualizing sound. If you have the right medium, and then play a sound, the frequency and other characteristics of the sound can make the medium vibrate in a specific manner. This can then be visualized by putting metal filings or sand or whatever on the medium. Not 100% on any of this; I’ve seen it done but never researched it before. If anyone knows better feel free to correct me.

This video is so deep.. if I’m right, the dots moving all around are particles on top of something with high frequencies, and the certain frequencies (the good stuff in music) make the particles move into certain patterns. The reason why that’s deep is because the universe lives and feels off of energy, frequencies, & vibrations, the same way we feel for music. If you recognize the patterns of musical frequencies & frequencies the universe give off, you’ll notice the patterns aren’t too different from one another. Energy, frequencies, & vibrations... music is the key to the universe.. 🔑 rip MF DOOM ❤️❤️❤️
