Pedro, meter auto is followed only in Mumbai because the law is strict there compared to other cities.. otherwise use Uber for correct price..we all use that..cheaper options are metro and buses..

Autorickshaws in Bengaluru were never like this until migration exploded over last decade. This pre fixing price for the ride culture existed in North India mostly. When the migrants came from such parts of country to Bengaluru, they asked for price first instead of meter. Autorickshaws saw that it was more profitable and stopped using meter.

Pedro I lived in Bangalore for more than 2 years moment they come to know that somebody dont know kannada or he is not local they will charge more money not everyone do this but there are some locals who do this .I also faced overpriced problem in bus fair, auto fair and in shops.there are many locals who dont like hindi in bangalore so avoid speaking hindi words with locals. It is better to speak in english than speaking hindi words with locals because I also faced problem while speaking hindi with locals after that I avoid speaking hindi with locals and tried to speak in English only and learnt some kannada words. Best choice will be to stay in kormangla and BTM 2 stage in bangalore.
