Love it so much ❤️ I don’t think it’s necessarily the art style but just the fact that it’s point and click that takes me back and reminds me of soooo many great point and clicks that were developed here in Germany and aren’t widely known (or at least not popular enough) outside the country, despite having an English translation. If you’re ever in the mood again for (some) “really quick and not at all frustrating” puzzles and a super charming art style/ awesome story, let me know! I know a ton of them and most of them are a bit older so they aren’t expensive on Steam as well!

same here, kinda brings nostalgac. but in same time it reminds me of games which had very complex stories, but graphics were simple, very pixelated and usually there was just one game image in one part and you had to type actions. i remember one game where you were like in a mansion with a garden. you woke up in one room and you had to type walk to door. open door. and i got stuck for a week on a part where i had to collect things from shed and kitchen. could not figure it out, internet was not spread so much yet and most people had 56k modems and hour online was kinda expensivve and you had to time it when you are home alone, coz adults always freaked out when phone was not aviable. so anyway i spent a week typing walk, go here go there, search, talk.. and all i hade to do was to type take garlic, take cross, read book. it had to do something with vampires. i spent 3 months on that game and i actually done it pretty good, considering i just started to learn english. i often wonder would it be possibel to find those games and would they actually work on modern operating systems...

The part that's missing in the beginning: She wakes up and is sad about her mom's disappearance. She wonders why the monster didn't take her. She decides to investigate by talking to all the grown-ups in town. When she goes downstairs, her dad is gone and left her a doll with a note, saying he went to go help the farmer. She waits for hours. There's a knock on the door. The woman wanted to talk to the girl's dad and does everything she can to avoid the girls questions about the forest. The girl wants to convince the woman by making tea

I'm just at the puzzle part but I think i might lose it if you keep rotating all pieces except for the one that actually goes on the left jar 😭🤣 But I can't wait for the rest of the video. Might have to watch it in two sessions cause it's getting late but I'm already in love with this game

@luperdrgz Yeah, I definitely have trouble watching others do some kinds of puzzles. I'm really generally good at shape and spacial puzzles, but suck at some logic puzzles. It was frustrating, eyeballing that one center piece he overlooked on the far left jar, but I'm super dumb at other puzzles that people would lose their shit over watching me do, haha.

This game is really entertaining and I like the artwork and story, but OH MY GOD THE PUZZLES. These are also the kinds of puzzles I am the absolute WORST at, my brain just doesn't work that way so I could never play this game myself. I was right there in the thick of it with you Morph, it all just looked like a mess of lines and hieroglyphics. Thanks for pushing through for us!

Hey MadMorph, I love watching your playthroughs, especially love the voices you do. Have you ever played Tales of Monkey Island? As far as point-and-click games go, this is my favourite one (I love that series). Please play this game. It's a bit old, but well worth it. Great puzzles and the story and humour is fantastic. Also, I'd love to hear your pirate voices, lol

Thank you so much. The release is so quick! I liked this game, it definitely is a perfect match with your voiceovers and commentaries and all. ❤ I’m in the beginning now and I shall update my comment later. I feel like that “crazy old lady” is not that crazy. Some of the clues tell that she was the one who spent a lot of time with Lucy’s mother and taught her how to sing. Could she be Lucy’s grandmother? 🤔

Did the story say how the town got supplies? There aren't any fields or gardens really. How can they eat or get clothes if no one can go through the forest? Addressing another conversation - I eat whatever is leftover from the previous day for breakfast. If nothing is leftover, I dig in the freezer for fish and chips, or make a salad or have some egg on rice or ramen. I don't eat a conventional breakfast.
@user-gu9yq5sj7c Жыл бұрын
I think the writers want the audience to imply that the town does provide enough for them, that more farms are offscreen, or that they may have a path out of town or to another town. I don't follow breakfast rules or social constructs either.

To answer your question at 23:25, I think as a child I’d have lost my mind living in a tiny forest village, but as an adult it sounds *wonderful*. The idea of a close-knit community sounds just so lovely, unless they go weird and toxic as some small communities can 😂

2:02:29 2:03:24 I eat anything for breakfast, including mayonnaise, or leftovers. There's different cultures. Like some Asian cultures eat rice and meat for breakfast. 2:16:06 I would rather eat just butter than just mayonnaise. 2:27:58 I would rather hide than seek. I agree, seeking can be frustrating. I can use creativity for thinking of hiding places. 2:37:05 I highly question rules. I think people shouldn't just blindly follow things like rules or social constructs for it's own sake. Especially when there's people who want to control and oppress people. Things like rules have to make sense, like respect or basic rights. People should also be open to changing rules if need be. But sometimes I might kinda follow rules if I don't want to deal with people nagging, vilifying, or slandering me over it, even if I don't agree with it. I still would speak out about it tho. Do parents want to train their kids to just mindlessly follow people and not think? It'll lead them to follow bad people. There's too much of that. Don't parents want kids to learn? By answering when kids ask why. For example, I don't follow breakfast rules or social constructs. At 2:22:13, I wouldn't give that old woman my hammer. Her reasoning was bad too. She said cause ladies shouldn't play with hammers. Also, people need some tools, basic life skills, and self sufficiency. I'm surprised Lucy gave her the hammer easily. Especially when Lucy has been acting independently. If the writers wanted a reason for her to lose the hammer then I wish it was another way. Or Idk if the writers were trying to teach a lesson of not just blindly following others too much. 2:39:23 Why doesn't Lucy just call out to him and say she found him hiding in that shed?
