Would Wayne Rooney make a good Birmingham City manager?
@billdoor314011 ай бұрын
No. He was useless at Deby. And people can shut up witj the "but...but..points deduction " even without any point deduction Derby would have finished bottom half and Rooney was bought in to gain promotion not finish bottom half twice. He was useless even in MLS. man's thick as a yard of lard.

No. What "success" Rooney had at Derby was largely down to Rosinior ... who is now doing a fine job at Hull.

As a Blue, I don’t want Rooney anywhere near my club, I think he’s a poor manager. But, even if he does bring success to Blues, he will NEVER, be fully accepted by the support. Reference Ron Saunders when he moved from Villa to Blues having sacked the much loved Jim Smith back in the day, reference sacking the successful Rowett & employing Zola instead. We’ve been here before and we don’t forget. Rooney is Man U, they can have him back.

As usual Blues shoot themselves in the foot when things are looking up. Great players rarely make great managers, look at Zola, one of the worst managers we've ever had. Not really in this case as John Eustace was doing well and for the first time in years it looked as though we would not be having a relegation scrap. There may be more happened behind the scenes but on the face of it , it seems like just appointing a big name regardless of managerial talent.Blues fans seem to be unanimously unhappy with this.@@mailsportfootball

As a Derby fan totally agree with Chris Sutton. As usual money talks, heard he was not going to get a new contract at DC in league l level football, and obviously Colleen wears the trousers. Rosenior was the main reason for Waynes success at Derby, just that Waynes name got all the credit. The thought of league 1 football was too much for his ego and he walked out the same day that our new owner took over. Definitely the same situation as Zola who must have lived to regret it. Decent players do not always make decent managers, Brian Robson, Mark Hughes, Steve Bruce and even Shearer prime examples.Lampard would have been a better choice for me. He got us to the play off final in 2019 against Villa. Would not be surprised to see Eustace at Watford considering his success with the blue noses and the fact he used to play for the hornets. Tom Brady might have been a great NFL player but wrong shaped ball in this game mate. LOL.
