I like how Redeemer, Avenger, and Apotheosis were all perfect ways to end the series. Redeemer, because Hank is dead, there’s no explained reason for him to come back, and there’s a moral saying “don’t try to kill the sheriff”. Avenger, because Hank accomplished his goal and actually killed the sheriff, and with the craziness halfway through, it seems like the climactic finale. Apotheosis, because of the way Hank, and also, Jebus died, and Tricky dancing to the song in Madness 1, AND the phrase “and he danced…” just is the best way to end.

Erik Mallas Actually, it was because he started smoking. It's universally agreed that smoking literally gets you killed in the Madness universe via karmic death. If he hadn't smoked, he might have been spared. The only other mook that survived was the one at the shop in one of Sanford and Diemos' adventures. They let him live because he was smart enough not to get in their way, and is presumably alive still since he took cover when the crossfire took place again.

I still find this to be one of his best. The animations once the sword comes to Hank are some of the most fluid Krinkels has ever made. This episode from that point on is so perfectly synced to the music and choreographed so fluidly that it's just perfect in my eyes.
