One of their best and most beautiful sounds...never got enough play back in the days of youth.

By the way...that's Jonh Hasler on drums..(he didn't play on the track just the video)he was the original drummer in Madness back in 1978 then their singer and manager....Bed and Breakfast Man was written about him!

A superb album which shows the group as a more mature songwriting team. In my opinion, one of the bands best albums (I certainly prefer it to the later albums that followed and all had the same 'Plonk,plonk,plonkety-plonk' Barson piano riff in every track).

Most songs were from the unreleased madness 1986 Album. Any true madness fan should consider this a real madness album, because it is a madness album. At the time music had moved on to be much more electronic so it's not as nutty as the early stuff. It is a bloody brilliant album though, a work of art. Some great performers on it. Even the cover art is superb.

Well if this is a less god madness song, then it is still better than the best of most other bands. It is Great in my book.

This in my Opinion is very Underrated!, and also the Album Was Brilliant too!, I think because of the Politics & Shenanigans going on in the Band & the Slight Name Change it has been sort of forgotten about but why shouldn't it be blended in with the other hits?, Disagreements & Fall outs happen in Bands!, Just make up & move on!, Fans are being unable to hear the good songs of The Album at Concerts!.

Ahahahahahaha. Actually 2 Tone was started in England because a lot of the Ska bands were signed to 2 Tone Records, started by Jerry Dammers of The Specials.

Chrysalis were the financial backers but Dammers was the creator.....he wanted to created a label that would be synonomous with its sound, like Mowtown. Others can judge if he succeeded.

Why isnt Bedders and Woody in this video?
@Tanzadog13 жыл бұрын
because Madness dumped them (Bedders and Woody) and reformed as The Madness - this is actually The Madness, not Madness ... The Madness phase is not looked upon fondly by those in it .... they see it as a mistake .....B&W came back for later reunions and Madstock

Hi, Hope You are Well, I think it was because of there not being all of the original Members in in which has all been talked about!, I Love everything they did in this Guise Musically but obviously there seems to be a bit of Band Politics gone on so this Period sort of not really referenced much by the Band!, Take Care, M.S.1591.

Don't mean to be too critical, because I do like it. But there's a tiredness to it. No real sense of purpose. Just a generic pop song, which you'd probably not identify as Madness if you didn't already know.

This song should not be under the title 'madness', it was by 'the madness' a poor effort to re-invent them, and they dropped woody and bedders for this project.
@crusadeagainstgreedyentert48654 жыл бұрын
They didn't drop Woody and Bedders. They both left of their own accord. Woody was unhappy about too much drum machine creeping into Madness songs.

@@crusadeagainstgreedyentert4865 there's a documentary where woody says the rest of the band said they were splitting up but they might do other projects (without bedders and woody)
