These type of versions are always mixed again or remastered to match modern music on KZbin, Spotify, Apple etc. If you really want to listen to the original version you'd have to get the vynil or cassette of the tune from the time they released it. You'll notice the difference. Best wishes.

Mozart would have been impressed. There’s not a wasted note or beat or word in it, and the real icing on the cake is that it’s about home - nostalgia for a less than perfect upbringing that you miss in hindsight as life gets more complicated. It’s about being lucky to have had a working class childhood - appreciating it for better or worse.

Those times never left, really, Some people just get busy, schedules may collide, but sometimes all it takes is you to ask to gather up again. i think its safe to assume you already know about the power of asking, as; it can never hurt to ask. go for it ;p chances are, ur not the only one who misses that from your gatherings

I love this song. As with a lot of great songs, it's a lot of fun, but it's also a little melancholic. We all remember "our house," a home full of everyone who was important to you at that point in time. Little things ring true, the mother is the real queen of the castle who looked after everyone else, and how is she first described? Tired. There's usually a crowd, always something happening in those good old days with everyone together, but brother's got a date to keep and can't hang around. One child goes, then the rest, onto their own lives. "Our house" is never quite the same, but that's okay. Hopefully, each of the kids will go on to create their own houses that their kids can sing about. As long as we made the most of it, we'll always have "our house," in our hearts, and we're lucky because some people never did.
