You come to borneo, these type of roads are used as regular commutes by the locals doing their daily work and chores. But its nice to know that we could see the x70 driven on such terrains, still due to several road conditions, a 4x4 would be a far more logical choice.

Sir, i suggest you and other motorist from other automotive channel to bring and test the x70 run on a fully mud terrain in Gemas Army Camp where the Main Battle Tank/MBT (PT-91M or Pendekar) and other military vehicle play around. You can write a letter to the Mindef HQ for approval to enter the camp and use the track for testing the X70 capability. Maybe you can bring other SUV together to test and make a comparison video as well. Then we consumer will know which SUV really worth for money.
@ChrisWeevilGarage5 жыл бұрын
Great idea, however unlike other countries, the greater majority of Malaysians really don't use their SUV for anything harsher than an unpaved parking lot. I noticed there is a quite large amount of hum-banging noise as if some heavy steel drops at minute 11:20 & 12:40 right after you engage the HDC.
@ChrisWeevilGarage5 жыл бұрын
Yes, that grunting noise is the HDC system applying and releasing the brakes aided by ABS to each individual wheel that has more / less traction, it works very well on slippery off-road decents 😊
@amykan92155 жыл бұрын
that hill descent control system is pretty useful for kimanis highway in Sabah. I used to go there once with my myvi and the descent experience was horrible. Shifted my gear to second (auto) for engine break plus heavy footbreak when downhill.
@ChrisWeevilGarage5 жыл бұрын

A higher ride height and ground clearance means that the wheels have more vertical room to travel and absorb road shocks. Also, the car is more capable of being driven on roads that are not level, without the scraping against surface obstacles and possibly damaging the chassis and underbody.

This must be somewhere in Ulu Rening? The "stonehedge" was a bungalow development that was abandoned years ago.
@ChrisWeevilGarage5 жыл бұрын
Yup, it's the area around Hulu Tamu and Hulu Rening, Batang Kali 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 And yes, the abandoned development was called Genting Valley apparently, sad. Thanks for watching and the feedback!!🙏🏽😊

The video should be shot from outside of the car to cover the exterior and show if AWD did get engage or otherwise. The way video is shot from inside doesnt give viewers a clear picture on the AWD capability of proton..

That place looks spooky to me. Hey have you watched the movie 'Wrong turn'? Your balls are made of ball bearings ah bro?! You are likely come face to 'face' with a freaking pontianak too! Come on la the jungle is their holiday resort and you are trespassing. If you rewind this video and watch carefully at a slower speed you can surely see them lurking behind the trees or bushes. You are nuts la. Even if did that spontaneously, next time find a friend who is spontaneous too and has balls of steel like you before driving into that scary as hell jungle. Cheers and 'pleasant' driving.
