This song is from the heart. Personal experiences growing up in a standard Britain. Fuckin superb album.

The best British pop album of the 80’s IMO. A work of art.

MADNESS is unlike any Band I have heard. The songs these guys composed are really insane. How can they write such amazing songs with such unique melody, unorthodox chord changes and special music arrangements?? It baffled me for many years. Hmm...maybe you guys are advanced Intelligent Beings from another planet? When I first heard 'GREY DAY'... I thought it a Count Dracula movie theme song. What a masterpiece! That was when I was hooked on Madness til today. Thank you Madness! You guys are beyond amazing.

listen to more ska, a lot of it is like this. Progressive rock too.
