This vid is really old, but I still wanna talk about this. So, in the end when Madoka basically became Jesus and saved all magical girls, that’s cool and all, but I think that there was a much better alternative. What Madoka did was let magical girls escape from their despair. But what I think would have truly helped was to help magical girls embrace their despair. Something I’ve been doing recently is not to push away my emotions, nor pretend they’re not there, but I acknowledge they’re a part of me, and that’s it’s healthy to feel. To have emotions, to be human. Emotions is what truly makes us us. It’s what makes us human, it’s what makes us alive. You shouldn’t say things like “Oh, it’s stupid to worry about.” Or “It’s nothing to get angry over.” NO. BE YOURSELF, LET YOURSELF BE FREE. So, I believe that if Madoka helped the girls, then peace could truly be achieved. Another reason why accepting your emotions would have been vital is the case with Sayaka and Madoka herself. In Sayaka’s case, she forgot her emotions so long, she eventually fell into despair. And when Madoka became god, she said, “My wish was to eradicate all witches. If that’s really true, then I have no reason to feel despair any longer!” And Yeah, you know what happens next. But, with hope, there has to be despair. Hence, the birth of Demon Homura, and the downfall of Madokami. There is a difference between saving and helping people. Helping would have been a better option. Thanks for reading!

I just realized that Homura's world is an opportunity. I hope in Homura's world, the girls get a chance to actually solve their own problems. Talk about them. Put them behind. Not...sacrifice their lives because they can't handle it anymore but they don't want to hurt people. Well PMMM have a good point. If magical girls are hope and witches are curses, even if the total sum is always the same, that doesn't mean the hope doesn't exist, does it? Your decision creates hope, your decision creates despair. It's a tapestry of your own making. The pattern can only come from you. It's proof that you existed. Yeah sure the universe is moving towards maximum entropy. Sure there'd be heat death and every single thing will disappear. Even if nothing you do will mean anything when everything is a warm soup, the fact that this exact pattern of hope and despair was conceived is proof that you existed. It's carved in the interaction between coordinates in empty space. The fact that those coordinates once contained a part of you, a chemical reaction in your brain, something you identify with, it means you existed.

This made me cry today. I was writing an essay for Persian class, and I suddenly realized how حوشحال I am today. I haven't been this happy in a very long time. I remember how darkly depressed I felt, like that beautiful black shot of Sayaka beating up the witch. I felt there was no end to my suffering. But this song... all those sad scenes in the video were made hopeful by Kalafina's beautiful music. Hope is still there. I still think about death, I still think about joining my first love in Heaven... but there are days when I know I can live this life - and this is one of them. I can pursue my dreams of going abroad (the Peace Corps, possibly) and offering help to people who are suffering in similar ways as me. Like my lost Sister, who is a Goddess now, I will become like Madokami and help my sisters in need. Beautiful music... I really needed this today. خیلی ممنون خواهر الهه من Madoka-jaan!
