最初はお互いがお互いを狙っておらず、ほむらはべべを、マミはほむらが撃った弾丸を撃っている。しかし全ての弾丸を弾かれたあと、ほむらはマミを直接狙い、マミもそれを察知して狙いをほむらに向ける。 しかし狙いをつけたあとの一瞬、お互いが一瞬だけ複雑な表情を浮かべて躊躇したあと、本格的な銃撃戦になる。その一瞬の表情がなんとも言えないですよね。

そもそも時間停止を封じて「同じ条件」の戦闘に持ち込まれた時点でマミさんが1枚上手。しかもべべに向いたマシンガンの弾丸を後出しの単発銃で正確に狙撃してる。攻撃手段が実弾兵器のほむらに対してマミさんは魔力で武器生み出してるのに最後に銃を向け合う場面でマミさんが一定間隔の呼吸なのに対して、ほむらは不規則で荒い呼吸してるから余力でもマミさんの勝ち。互角なように見えて実際は絶好調マミさん相手にほむらも頑張ったよっていうさやかの見解が正解だと分かる。

Despite all that she still tried to help Kyouko, but Kyouko kept using seeds for herself and letting familiars live which made Mami very sad. Mami was just super happy that she will have new apprentices who will try to be as noble as her, and was distracted in the fight because of that.

I don't think it was because she had a friend, quite the contrary, it's because she never had one, she was lonely, if she had one from the beginnig, this would't have happened (like the timeline when Mami and Madoka are magical girl together). And when she knew she could have finally a friend after all this time she was fighting alone, she rushed the battle to go to Madoka. So she was too entusiastic and l became less cautious. Doesn't matter how strong you are, or how many battles you had. If you act in a reckless way in a battle, you die. Since there’s a new movie coming out for Madoka Magica, Walpurgisnacht Uprising, it’ll probably be about the upside down witch. Whether the new sequel will beat Rebellion in terms of fighting, probably not. But in terms of storytelling, maybe.

Nah in terms of skill Mami is ahead. Mami also has alot more empathy then homura so would inevitably do her best to not hurt homura, whereas once homura fights for madoka she'd go for the kill. If it's a fight without magic use then Mami wins everytime. Even kyubey states how Mami was an enigma in terms of her talent and ability. Also in the timelines where Mami lives she is the leader in terms of fighting and strategy

Mami is by far more experienced and more powerful, because she has fought more varied enemies, while Homura has been fighting the same witches over and over again. In this fight Mami got caught not out of overconfidence but because she was aiming to stop Homura, not kill her and she didn't expect her personality to do a 180 out of nowhere, thus didn't expect to what extents she was willing to go in order to win..

Nah, first of all Mami believed Homura’s words. You can see it. She killed Kyoko because she would turn on them and attack them for killing Sayaka witch just like how she does in PSP games. Mami protected her cute students from Kyoko. Next she told them what was going to happen. Eventually they would become a witch and she said she doesn’t want to become one. She didn’t shoot them like how she shot Kyoko, if Mami wished she could kill both Madoka and Homura but that was not her intention at all. She pointed her gun at Homura, making Madoka steel her resolve. Madoka would have to grow as a person or Mami’s prediction, them becoming a witch would come true. Mami gave them her final lesson and left the world, finally free of countless responsibilities she has shouldered (alone for the most part). She didn’t want to fight until eventually becoming a witch so she chose to leave the world, but for those that chose to stay in this world she gave them that lesson. Regardless, Walpurgis would kill them all anyways but Mami is much more than you think she is.

Far stronger than her portrayal in the TV series, she somehow managed to bypass Homura's time stop ability and managed to create a doppelganger clone to fight her. Was she watching somewhere else while the time stop is in effect?

3:00 I really like this part that they are in the middle of the rain of bullets and point the gun at each other and do not shoot immediately knowing that time is not stopped and they would end up killing themselves. And then Homura stop the time and they shoot managing to dodge the bullets with the time stopped (probably makes the bullets slow)

After examining multiple scenes of Mami Tomoe's battling style, I have realized what makes her so powerful. Mami retains magical control over her projectiles after firing them. Every shot she misses that hits a wall, floor, or ceiling is a trap waiting for her to activate it. Anywhere she has shot, she can manifest her ribbons. The longer any battle against Mami goes on, the greater her battlefield control advantage becomes. And near as I can tell, she never really opens up about this potential, not even to her closest allies. Likely because she is practical, and she has always understood that one day she may need to defend herself against any other magical girl.
