I can't overstate how impressive this is, especially how faithful this arrangement is to the original tracks while effortlessly converting the other instruments to piano and keeping the original feel. Your interpretation in playing flows so well and really does the soundtrack justice. Overall it just leaves me wanting more - in particular complete versions of something, everything is wrong and absolute configuration would be great to hear. I also join the others in eagerly awaiting the sheets. Thank you for sharing this!

this was so incredibly beautiful and monumental and your expressive playing perfectly showcased the Kaijura's gorgeous writing, especially Dream World and Flame of Despair. It's really been too long since I've watched Rebellion and now I'm totally in the mood to put it on tonight hahaha. Fucking a, dude. I literally. Like, same. I mean, same with how you feel about the film and the soundtrack but like also, just thanks. Thank you for reheating the fire of my very soul. This movie is literally everything to me. Everything. And I feel like so many people just don’t get it. Really. The fact that it has haters is appalling to me…. And the fact that somebody can harbor so much love for it makes me so, so incredibly happy. That I’m not alone in the ferocity of my soul’s devotion to this one piece of art. Because I too…. feel it. Literally, the same. Like, every so often (twice a year? Maybe more honestly) I’m like, yeah… time to watch Rebellion again.

Oh, and of course I love Flame of Despair. Obvious classic, right? And you played it perfectly. I particularly ADORED your Holy Quintet as well as your Absolute Configuration…. BUT, I Was Waiting for this Moment, MIGHT just be my guiltiest of likes if only because it’s my very favorite scene.

Wow! What a take. But I can't say I'm surprised in the least - this soundtrack is so coherent as a single extended piece, and there's no doubt about your ability to play any piece you set your mind to (still remembering the tour de force that is your Pride and Arrogance cover!) "The recurring motifs, the way the music supports the narrative so perfectly" The whole thing really is a masterpiece through and through. I can't get over it either. Really shows how movie sequels can take things to a whole new level of quality (Made in Abyss is another great example). It gives me hope that the Princess Principal sequel movies will follow this trend. "I could write an entire essay on why I love it so much" I would read the hell out of that, honestly. There's so much to dissect! "I think it's the kind of movie that can only really be appreciated on second viewing, and gets better the more you notice and pay attention to" Painfully accurate. I recently rewatched the whole series and Rebellion for maybe the 6th time with some friends and I was still connecting bits of visual storytelling that I never noticed before. Easily one of the most beautiful and cathartic films. I'll never understand how so many people can call it a mistake that shouldn't be considered canon.

Well, this comes out of nowhere. What a great way to start in 2021 😉. Firstly, let me collect my thoughts. After watching (or more preciously listening while my both eyes were closed, it feels like I am wandering in this universe without any care, completely free from life form) I have no idea how 29 min feel too short. This Medley was exceptional. Really Really something special you created. Your hard work is remarkable and so much inspiring. Btw, I am reading your description right now, and Feels like the OST title of this movie telling me a very tragic story. After reading from top to bottom order. I don't know anything about this movie, even it's my first time hearing this movie name other than you also did an OST cover of this movie in the past. But thank you very much for your recommendation. I will definitely be going to watch this movie tomorrow. And look like it's 3 part movie which is always great in my book. And If my guessing is correct I need to prepare my heart and mind. Also Caliko after watching this video again with my eyes open, you look like Elsa from Frozen (maybe because of all black dress and beam of white light only projecting on specific area & your white hair, this looks like a really cool effect ha-ha). Lastly thank you for delivering an amazing performance. You are the best. Happy New year Caliko and everyone in the comment section. We finally survived 2020 ye ye ye 😏.

Thank you! It is a 3 part movie, the first 2 being movie adaptations of the original 12 episode series, so definitely watch those one after another! I cannot tell you how many times I come back to this video, put it on loop and just have it on in the background when I need to get other things done.
