I have to disagree about the hair. Not everyone suits long hair, but I think that Michael Jackson suited shoulder length curly hair best, better than short hair. I suspect she's just going by what she saw as fashionable at the time and I think longer hair generally became less fashionable in the 90s, but to quote Oscar Wilde "and, after all, what is a fashion? From the artistic point of view, it is usually a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months". I agree with her about the shoes though, no need to be wearing them all the time with everything whether they go well or not. I don't know if Madonna 'trademarked' it, but she's known for wearing that Jean Paul Gaultier corset with the pointed bra, if you wore one of those to a fancy dress party I suspect a lot of people would assume you'd come dressed as Madonna...
