I like this better than a lot of the over-the-top, schmaltzy stuff she usually creates in her endless quest for shock, outrage, attention and relevancy, but let's be honest. The lyrics are trite, banal and pretty simplistic. She's never lacked popularity, but I'm not sure there's been all that much evolution since "Lucky Star." She's just 42 here, but once you hit 60, it's pretty tough to keep playing the sex bomb card...
@onesong20013 жыл бұрын
@@fenwayify She has spent less than only Michael Jackson on marketing her image. That's why she's the most successful female pop star ever This performance reminds me of when I was learning to play the guitar. It's very mechanical and not at all soulful. I saw her do something on youtube some years ago and I noted she was using an incredibly low video resolution which is a great way of looking young these days, although fans will be expecting some modern-day resolutions I'm sure.

Besides singing, Madonna has the ability to play several musical instruments. She learned to play drum and guitar from her then-boyfriend Dan Gilroy in the late 1970s, before joining the Breakfast Club line-up as the drummer.[274] This helped her to form the band Emmy, where she performed as the guitarist and lead vocalist.[274] Madonna later played guitar on her demo recordings. On the liner notes of Pre-Madonna, Stephen Bray wrote: "I've always thought she passed up a brilliant career as a rhythm guitarist."[301] After her career breakthrough, Madonna focused mainly in singing but was also credited for playing cowbell on Madonna (1983) and synthesizer on Like a Prayer (1989).[272] In 1999, Madonna had studied for three months to play the violin for the role as a violin teacher in the film Music of the Heart, before eventually leaving the project.[302] After two decades, Madonna decided to perform with guitar again during the promotion of Music (2000). She took further lessons from guitarist Monte Pittman to improve her guitar skill.[303] Since then, Madonna has played guitar on every tour, as well as her studio albums.[272] At the 2002 Orville H. Gibson Guitar Awards, she received nomination for Les Paul Horizon Award, which honors the most promising up-and-coming guitarist.[304]

Madonna wouldn't have been around for so long with all the radically different things she has done so far, if SHE herself wasn't THE mastermind behind her musical output. No matter what type of music she does, everything has that "Madonna sound" because she is the principal creator. She's never been a manufactured act who just shows up to the studio to record the songs. The brilliance from 1982 to today could not have been completely made by others with her merely being a vessel - it makes zero sense if you actually pay attention to her works.
