She looked great here and seems relaxed. Even when everyone on earth was criticising her every move.

Thanks for posting this great interview. I'm glad Molly mentioned the musical rearrangements in the Girlie Show lineup. That show had the best rearrangements of all her shows and should have been released as a full live album. This interview also reminds us how much fun Madonna used to be before she starting taking herself so, so seriously and became kind of boorish. She looks so cute and I love what she's wearing.

Molly Meldrum remains one of Madonna’s biggest fans. In 1984, at the end of Eurythmics show in NYC, a huge screen descended on the stage and played the latest music videos. M's Burning Up caught Molly’s eye, and he was struck by the lyric “Unlike the others, I’ll do anything/ I’m not the same, I have no shame/ I’m on fire” He asked the man dancing next to him who the singer was. The man said that it was a new artist named Madonna. Molly said that he really wanted to do an interview with "this Madonna chick". Molly first mentioned Madonna on Countdown on April 8, 1984. He introduced her as a “great chick from New York”, adding: “Tell you what, watch out for her because I think she’s going to be really big in Australia on the charts over the next two to three months.”

I miss the times when Madonna was not afraid to have short hair, having smart conversations, being different and confident about it. Her best years...

Like she has been all the time in other words? 😂
@norijean327910 ай бұрын
@@ida_sriyaka No, she's been different for the last 20 years or so... But being married with children, then divorced, and simply aging will change a person. Now she's less confident in her statements, her looks, her words and imagery are more vague.

Great comment. She always seems so self-conscious and insecure in her interviews for the past few years. She used to present with such strength and confidence.
