Fun facts: 1. The stage for Rio’s concert was double the size of the arena stage. 2. Madonna broke the record of the biggest soloist concert ever held, there were 1.6 million people there. 3. She changed things specifically for the concert: a Jean Paul Gaultier corset with the Brazilian flag colors and instead of singing Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, she performed a samba remix of Music with Pabllo Vittar and a group of children/teenagers playing the instruments live.

It seems to me the stage was exactly the same as the one for the arena shows. Her whole choreography is fitted to and timed around the stage design. A bigger stage would've taken her longer to get from A to B in time during each song choreography and certainly would've disorganised everything she's been doing for six months. It was nearly all the same except the flying frame was missing because it was an outdoor show.

@@Sashimi1408 but it wasn't. The arena stage had a size of ~410 square meters (or ~4,400 square foot). The stage constructed for her Copacabana concert had a size of ~812 square meters (or ~8,700 square foot), doubling the size of the original arena stage. They had five days of rehearsals at Copacabana Palace hotel and two rehearsals in the actual stage to make everything look seamless and not hurried. You can check all of this information online :)

@@Sashimi1408 I'm with you on this. If you look at the walk from Erotica to the Papa Don't Preach/Blond Ambition interlude, the stage is not wider than the arena shows; it's timed perfectly (and she didn't rush or run across to the Like A Virgin bed). It's certainly not double the width, at least. Hung Up wasn't extended down the catwalk. Seems same size to me too and - to your point - the choreography and timings would have had to be completely redesigned and marked out. The extra video screens certainly widen the stage - but not the performance area/catwalks...
