I seriously DOUBT Madonna changed Guy Ritche's ideas about G-d. I bet he is still very much an atheist. She even said he was more interested in the "intellectual" side of Kabbalah and she the more spiritual side. As an atheist I can say that I read the Bible...as a literary text and in an intellectual way. I bet this difference in spirituality was in part to blame for their divorce.

@stephenmb45 she can't help it, she has a Virgo rising and a Virgo moon, that's just how they are, "the critic", they always have that critical edge. not my favorite thing but that's just how it goes, she's just being herself. also virgo type people can actually be really shy in social situations so they get that way because they criticize themselves, she jsut seems uncomfortable and not relaxed like i've seen her on letterman. who knows. poor ellen she's just doing her job.

@WaffleKing99 That was certainly well known during the 80s, when she got a lot of criticism for walking all over people in her quest for fame, particularly boyfriends. My impression is that she's gotten nicer as she's gotten older, but it's hard to know for sure. The trend of expecting everyone to be ruthless in the pursuit of money and fame was becoming normal in the 80s and she was kind of an exemplar of it. It's considered normal in the US now, hence the "grow up" comments you're getting.

So? its the same in almost every family. Catholicism is a way bigger problem than a belief system like kabbalah, still I think Madonna gives them enough freedom, dont forget that Madonna was forcefed catholicism and she went the opposite way in the end.

Actually I don't agree. I'm a baptist, and I see it every day of my life. Of course parent want their children to believe in one thing, but those families I know would never force anything on their children. It totally depends on the family. Eg. my family has atheists, christians, and even some extreme things. The only religion I know that teaches to force the belief to children is Islam.

You dont read the Bible for its literary content. It is non-fiction. You have to believe its contents from Genesis to Revelation. I suggest you pray - simply ask Him - what He would like you to discover before reading. Just believe that there is someone listening to your prayer and then see where your Bible reading will lead you.
