I’m on a Madonna marathon remembering the wonderful cold night I saw this show in Detroit and was about to comment the same thing. She met him over 35 years ago and the gaze and hug around the face is possibly the most loving gaze I’ve ever her seen her give on stage excluding to her children. Loved it. 💙🥰💙

There are a couple of moments, eg 3:23 and 3:59 where M looks at José, and for those split seconds I don’t see Madonna the Icon, I see a friend looking at another old friend with love and affection and, no doubt, much nostalgia. A friend with whom she made so many beautiful memories. They would have had no idea at the time that what they were creating would become so iconic. A moment that not only had cultural relevance at the time, but would continue to be acknowledged decades later as a significant moment in Pop AND LGBT history! I’m almost emotional! Lol

I mean to be a child (Esther) and to be able to have this experience with your family, is just mind blowing! On top of having a stadium cheer for you! Mercy celebrating her 18th B-Day at MSG in front of tens of thousands of people...😳🤯 And then having your mom be a living legend and take you across the globe to different countries & cities to people that are excited to see her and you perform?!
