Madonna is the ultimate. Not to compare, but imagine a Beyonce, Taylor Swift etc doing anything even slightly on this level. Madonna brings danger, thrills, shock and awe - she is untouchable when it comes to performing.

Brilliant reaction - as always, Steven! I love that you recognise the 'punk rock' sensibilities that Madonna inherently has! The full 5 song act from this show is visually and sonically stunning! There really is no performer like her, yet so many still deride her for a supposed lack of talent. Unfortunately, it will only be when she is gone that people will finally recognise and appreciate her true artistry!

I get so bothered when people try to diminish Madonna, especially when pop music fans do it. As a fan of Gaga (and pop music in general), I can only thank her for influencing so many artists I love. Everyone has their place in the industry, but as we can see from this performance, she is the queen of pop for a reason.

There will never be another Madonna, ever! Those newly pop stars' fans don't have any idea of what kind of artist she is and the level of fame she has got. She was literally the Queen of the Universe.

Also, yess!! Please do go through her albums chronologically, or at the least singles and videos, it’s the best way to fully appreciate where she started and how immensely she grew as a singer, writer, producer and actor. Madonna is known for being a visual artist and to see her videos as a visual to her songs, is something I recommend to anyone who wasn’t a lifelong fan.I will tell you, Madonna fans will watch that journey, as we support anyone who wants to learn more about this amazing woman.

This was my first Madonna concert, I was 20, I went with my mom and she hated this whole section due to the violence and guns, after the concert I told her that it was a performance, same as a film from Tarantino, I guess Madonna was channeling a lot of anger from her divorce through these numbers, and after that my mom got it and she loved it

Hey Steven- I couldn’t click on this fast enough….lol. Have def been waiting for this reaction! I told you that you would be blown away by this and you did not disappoint!! I saw this show in LA and it was SO awesome. Just imagine sitting there and experiencing this “first act” of the show with that iconic “Virgin Mary/Girl Gone Wild” intro to these next 2 songs. We all had our jaws on the floor🔥🔥🔥 And to see some people (not true fans) head for the exits was actually amusing. I guess they thought that they were going to see some nostalgia show and were taken completely by surprise. Also, the fact that she was 54 at the time of this tour (2012) which makes it even more amazing! A few more suggestions for “Bad Ass” Madonna performances would be “Like A Prayer” and “Hung Up” from her 2008/09 Sticky and Sweet Tour, “American Life” from her 2003 Reinvention Tour and “Celebration” from this same MDNA Tour. Also, her “What It Feels Like for a Girl” video (directed by then-husband, Guy Ritchie) is also wild!!

👑. Imagine becoming a fan of Madonna from her first singles, from way back in childhood, and following her career… knowing the vicissitudes of fame, wondering when the other shoe will drop and she’ll fade from the stratosphere… then realising with each album, tour, book, film, project in general, that you bet on an actual CHAMPION all those years ago. Most people have one, maybe two career peaks. At this point she’s had an entire MOUNTAIN RANGE. Anyone who dismisses her is simply ignorant. They can prefer another vocalist, another songwriter, another performer, but anyone saying she’s “overrated” or doubting how foundational her contribution to the actual idiom of the female pop star, of the strong self determining woman in the entertainment industry general, has obviously never really examined her vast catalogue of work and achievements.

Madonna actually started in a punk rock band before going solo and Pop! Look it up. Plus she is a big fan of goth fashion and music low key.

She's a Woman, She's Old, She's Crazy, She has botox, She can't sing, She doesn't play the instruments....The haters will always find anything to dismiss her instead of focus on the genius she is and that's because they don't feel comfortable with anyone who still stands exactly because she was the first woman to be different from others in the music industry by free expressing her points of views and personality without caring for approval of others, the first to stay "old" and still want to work and create art, that's why she is always paying a price, because she is PIONEER, INOVATIVE, UNIQUE, FIGHT LABELS, PUSH BUTTONS. For a man to be like that was always normal on the music industry but she is a woman, she should be quiet on her place and not to be interventive and express her opinions and above all never, never try to be on a place that was always and only reserved for men and objectifying men like they did objectifying woman on their music videos since then, how dare you Madonna? Men always liked to be on command and that's why they are afraid of her...That's the reason why she is a LIVING LEGEND, A MYTH, AN ICON, THE ONLY LIVING SUPERSTAR WHICH STILL REMAINS, and was named the QUEEN (of pop). Come on guys give her a break and let her continue her artistic and genius career while she is still alive, one day when she won't be with us people will notice her importance in History, but I guess it is always like that, you must lost someone important to know his real VALUE. That's why I'm always thinking how fortunate we are to have the privilege every single day to have her still among with us while she is ALIVE AND KICKING. For me Madonna is the definition of WOMAN and will always be until I die. Sometimes I think as a Madonna huge fan she really don't have the best voice in the world comparing with other singers nor is the best dancer nor is the best this or the best that and for me this is even more the reason why she is my favourite artist of all time, because with all this "limitations" she remains above other great artists on a timeline because she has PERSONALITY, CHARISMA, STYLE, INTELEGENCY and applies that on her artistic path and surpasses herself constantly, from others we can only say: "ok great voice this artist have, this singer is so pretty and sexy,..." we only appreciate them by their technical and physical skills, but with Madonna is different we appreciate her by some of this same skills but as WHOLE, as a PERSONALITY. Everytime she bring us a new record or concert she impregnate her unique strong sincere personality on it remaining coherent with her beliefs and convictions and that's why I think people still follow and respect her. She's BEATIFUL on her own way and I am not only speaking physically which she was of course more when she was younger but she is even more beautiful as time goes by because beauty is not only what you see outside but what you perception the others give you from inside and on this Madonna is the most beatiful person in the world and History because she is such a beatiful soul and human being inside. For any reason singers like Whitney, Mariah, Janet, Britney, Beyonce, Rihanna that stood for her great voices or style/beauty comparing to Madonna never accomplished what Madonna is and done (and I'm not saying I don't like those artists) because she has that "It" factor, a "je ne sais quoi", a MAGIC MYSTERY that no one can explain but that's why she is a MYTHICAL (LIVING) LEGEND in HISTORY. Many things have been said about this woman in the past and will always continue in the present and future because we want to explain and guess who is this person and woman/human being which is always defying us. She is LOVED and HATED, but the geniuses and myths were always like that, loved for some and hated by others, the true ARTISTS AND GENIUSES were always like that originating debate because they were DIFFERENT. Today to dismiss Madonna is kind of trendy but Madonna is ETERNAL like all LEGENDS are so as time goes by and as fashions move on she will stay UNTOUCHABLE and IMMORTAL as one of the most SINGULAR human beings that come to this planet and universe. Madonna is a mix of unique physical and personal beauty that combined together made the person who she is until today: A GODDESS among GODS. THANK YOU Madonna for CHANGING MY LIFE. Oh and I will not reply to any message against this post because everything you haters want is attention and I will not give you that stage and opportunity because Madonna is above all your mediocrity 😉. Peace ✌
