You can't miss the Primetime interview! It's even more profound and emotional! In that interview, you can clearly see that Madonna has great respect for the journalist leading the interview.

This album was a great idea, it made her more "soft" to the public and it sold so well! 10 million copies only the year of its release. A new peak on her flawless career was about to come.

The best interview of this era is 1995 Primetime interview. Madonna starts crying during it and it’s very touching. I can’t believe the dude who gives you the stuff to watch skipped over that. Well I’m telling you now to absolutely watch it.

Talking about Madonna, just crossed my mind how incredible she is. For me it started 1986 wit True Blue, She was only one amongst many others, even Sam Fox. They all fell of, or died ( Freddie, Michael, Whitney….) Madonna is the last living legend standing since 1983. It’s pretty massive. Impressive. Following her faithfully through the years, it’s been ups and some downs. But regardless this woman is amazing!

Add me to the list of folks surprised that the Primetime interview wasn't included! That German interview is weird and funny to watch, but it's not essential the way the Primetime and VH1 ones are. Hope you do a separate reaction! Also, this period is definitely a transitional one, professionally and emotionally, for Madonna. As you probably already know, Evita and Ray Of Light was a big rebirth for her and you'll see the energy/confidence come back in the interviews for the next era/album. She was still sort of licking her wounds at this point.

@bennshouts it's just occurred to me that I don't think you have listened to I'll Remember. It was a single and was originally on the movie soundtrack for the movie With Honours. She wrote and recorded the track as the theme of the movie as a favour to the director Alex Keshian who directed In bed with Madonna and they became besties. I'll Remember was also on the Something to Remember album. It was also a huge hit in the US and was another US number one. ❤❤

I always found the German interview to be kind of sweet although it's pretty awkward at certain times. Madonna is clearly in a standoff-ish mood but the interviewer was kind and trying to be personable. On top of English not being her native language, I think her pressing certain topics or asking the same question a different way is because she's trying to get Madonna to give a fuller answer (instead of a short "yes" or "no" type answer). I've seen this in a lot of older interviews where its' encouraged for the start to give some impression of what the question is in their own answer because of how the interviewer might be edited or spliced later on. It can cause some awkward moments in the interview itself and doesn't always offer the best flow of conversation, but I do feel some sympathy to the interviewers who are just trying to do their job. It's kinda just how it was back then.

It really is hard to comprehend how hard the media came for her in this era. the only comparison even close today is Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. So when she talks about the media its not like 1 bad review its a relentless attack. so when she seems sad about it, it is justified
