@LyonsM I'm not saying racism isn't real. But from your original statement, u made it seem like being black and liking a Madonna song is some sort of taboo, lol. And I'm saying that in America, it's portrayed that if you're black, u only listen to r&b, rap, and blues/jazz. And if you're white, u only listen to rock, country, and classical. It's a negative mindset people have in this country, and it's sad. At the end of the day, we are all just different shades of wheat........ but if u cut me, I bleed red, as would u!! That's why I don't feed into this race shit because I know the masses have fed into it because of this countries horrible history and what has happened, but if we keep looking at the past 24/7 and isolating ourselves to those elementary standards how will we progress and make the world a better place?

Everyone is all about 80s Madonna but 90s Madonna IS REALLY her peak. This song is still her biggest hit single in the US, spending 7 weeks at #1 in 1995. Babyface and his background vocals are excellent as well. 90s Madonna rules, she was so versatile and commanding that decade. She had her best videos, albums and tours that decade and every new album she released in the 90s it seemed she was tackling a new music genre. I mean she started the 90s Voguing and ended the 90s by releasing Ray of Light and being all spiritual and mystical. Such a change

It is a midtempo pop ballad written and produced by Madonna and Babyface. "Take a Bow" was developed from this collaboration, after Madonna listened to the beat and the chords of the demo structure of the song. The singer's management called Babyface to set up a meeting and see if they wanted to work together. Once met, both were surprised by their camaraderie and wanted to write songs. Madonna came over to Babyface's house and after a couple of days they came up with two songs. One of them was based on a piece of music composed by Babyface, but he was not sure about its musical direction. He made Madonna listen to the composition, and she found a way to take the song forward.Babyface clarified that "it was just a beat and the chords. From there we collaborated and built it up... I was living in Beverly Hills and I created a little studio in my house, so she came over there to write."] Together they agreed that the first line of the song should be its title, and "Take a Bow" was written. The words were never repeated in the track again.
