I like Madonna and MDNA slays and that sound is addictive. The whole Madonna thing is pretty shitty, I hate when older artists complain about younger artists "copying" them especially when they've done the same. Madonna definitely borrowed and took inspiration from other artists like Blondie and shit like that. She's in no position to give Gaga shit. They're both talented and I enjoy them both, but I think some of Madonna's comments are really hypocritical. People are inspired by other people and as such there will probably be similarities that occur even subconsciously, that doesn't mean it was blatant copying, just get the fuck over it. Nope, I wasn't alive when she started out or indeed for any of her '80s reign. I defend her just as you defend Gaga. I can attribute her to the reason that I came out and it's been her strength and frankly ruthlessness that is hugely inspirational to me. Tim A Lee is so delusional. If you don't think Gaga has flopped, you are extremely delusional. She has done worse than Madonna's latest album wich was Madonna's worst selling album in her whole career. Her singles from Born This Way have also flopped. Her Born This Way ball performed WAY worse than Madonna's MDNA Tour. I'm all for liking whoever you wanna like, but opinion is NOT fact. This generation has NO Queen Of Pop. Most young people like Katy Perry now, not Gaga. Hell, even Miley Cyrus not only has done better commercially with her latest album but she also gets ALL the attention that Gaga wishes she had. Madonna understands she HAS to go away for long periods of time so people don't get tired of her. The media overexposure among other things DESTROYED Gaga. Madonna is business savvy and knows when to go away and recharge creatively and make people crave her return, Gaga simply burned out completely. Plus Madonna actually has a life outside of the media/fame, while Gaga does not.

You says all of this acting like every point you made was a fact. Saying someone does not have a life is not a fact. You do not know what she does outside of what you see in the media. Gaga's album went #1 when it released, so she is clearly not burned out or destroyed. The reason I like Gaga more than Katy is because Gaga makes different sounding music each album. Katy, however, sounds very similar when you listen to her songs. This does not mean Katy is a bad artist, because her method clearly gets sales, but on a talent scale, Gaga is better than Katy (imo).

I agree with you. honestly the reason they're pitted against eachother (well the fans -- no one offline seems to know or care about this) is because they're obviously the two best females in pop and that's something that goes outside the charts even though they've both had a lot of chart success. Like Mariah Carey has the most #1s of any female I think but she still doesn't have the impact of like Whitney. glad we agree. :)
