I'm sure Madonna's own connection to some of these songs is not as strong as some her fans' connections to them. This is a gorgeous melody with beautiful lyrics that sounds as timeless as Live To Tell. If only she would realize how much fans would love to hear it again. Its mysterious vibe of the inescapable feeling of firbidden love could fit into a number of narrative arcs. And me ..hotly followed by Oh Father,Rain and Spanish Eyes.. I love the live version of this ...the soundscape produced by the band and just the general atmosphere of it is incredible and her delivery . The emotions she puts into her ballads ..I hate it when people say she can't sing ...singing is about connection,telling a story and moving people as much, if not more, than it is vocal gymnastics .
