Drove 6 hours with two friends from high school to see this tour. We were all seniors in 1985- missed two days of graduation excercises, and I will remember it for the rest of my life!!!!

I was just 16 years old when this concert took place ( circa 1985 ) and I had to wait until December 1993 for Madonna to perform here in Sydney. Who knew we were watching a mega pop star in the making. ALL HAIL THE QUEEN OF POP!

You just witnessed the Big Bang and the birth of a supernova. A tour de force of almost an hour of continuous hit after hit with live singing and those dance breaks. I can see the Madonna mania has infected you as it did me when I experienced this concert. Her energy, drive, sensuousness and artistry is just spectacular. She would go on from here to produce a vast catalogue of songs and her concert tours will progressively set the trend for today’s pop music tour extravaganzas. Her impact on pop music and culture is iconic. Let’s appreciate her while she’s still in this physical space. Really appreciate you reacting and covering the music and artistry of Madonna.

i have my ticket and the vhs of this concert. I was 14 and my dad got me a scalper ticket for msg in the bleeders last minute. I begged and cried for it. lol. I dont remember anything from that night except what I wore and how shook I was. It was love at first sight. Everybody and Gambler did me in!

Still have an original VHS copy of this. Always loved this tour. Sold out in 35 minutes when the tickets went on sale for the Madison Square Gardens shows. Great reaction. Cant wait for you to hear the True Blue album. Best selling female album of the 80's.j

Truly the best concert for a female artist, singing and dancing at her finest, cute, bouncy and well executed. The team did a perfect job. Madame X is undeservedly under-appreciated no doubt likely due to the distractions that plagued it like her injuries that led to late/delayed concert starts and even cancellation of shows. Also the social unrest, deteriorating geopolitical crises with the rise of authoritarian populist regimes and the onset of the Covid pandemic in 2019 really dampened the enthusiasm of the pop music world. But MX deserves a closer look. The tour is one of my 4 all-time faves (others are Confessions, Re-Invention, and MDNA).

It’s not a coincidence if she has become the queen and the most successful female artist in history. And this tour was just the beginning in a time when you didn’t have special effects or props. In spite her being still rough and imperfect, she was fire and pure talent. She was born to become a legend. She will be in 200 years what classical music is today.
