Apps Script: Autocompleting Custom Functions and Currency Exchange

Jordan this is exactly what I've been looking for. I'm a complete novice when it comes to scripting, but I'm so excited this is working for my spreadsheet. One thing I wanted to ask is if there is any way we can get this to apply to a column? I have a list of expenses throughout the day and I'd like to input =CURRENCYEXCHANGE(a1:a5) for example. When I try that I get a "#REF!" error in my cell. Also, are the figures generated only for the current rate? Will it auto update as currency rates fluctuate? Ideally my numbers should be accurate to the date that I made the purchase. Thanks again for this, suggesting others to your videos :)
