Even our PM Indira Gandhi(mother of ex-PM in this movie) was assassinated. She denied to change her bodyguards who belonged to the community which was not happy with her decisions. She and her sons, all were assassinated. At this point we can say they used to think people will not take such measures or maybe they were never afraid. All of these events happened after the assissination of Mahatma Gandhi, and got the Gandhi sir name as leaders.

Just wanted to point out something as Jaby's subscriber since his starting days. The movie 'Article 370' has been out on Netflix for a while now. It's a very good movie especially from technical aspects which Jaby looks for in a movie. But seeing as he has not yet reacted to it, I am starting to feel that he has finally chosen to cater to a specific type of audience. I would very much love to be proven wrong.

@@tintunbirha He didn't want to be a PM, he was pushed into it when Indira Gandhi was assassinated, someone had to take a stand from the family and Sanjay, Indira's actual political heir was already dead. My grandmother says he was a good human and hence was very loved. He had public sympathies too which led to Congress getting 400+ seats the year he became PM. People had actually cried the day he died.

I don't know what you're talking about. Save for four, ALL Prime Ministers of India were all Post Graduates. Correct me if I am wrong, but the only PMs who were not post-graduates were Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, H. D. Deve Gowda and Indira Gandhi. And all these PMs did do well as Prime Ministers of India. All of them were obviously graduates. As for support of technology-based industries, almost all PMs have done that. Off the top of my head, PM Nehru gave us INCOSPAR and BARC. PM Indira Gandhi literally gave us the Nuclear Bomb and even the Arihant project started under her. PM Rajiv Gandhi, well, you've already covered him. PM Narsimha Rao and Vajpayee gave us PSLV and Thermonuclear weapons. PM Manmohan Singh gave us Aadhaar, GSLV Mk2, Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan, etc. And PM Modi gave us a further expansion of the India stack (started by PM Manmonhan Singh) into UPI, JAM trinity and ONDC, gave us the entire Indian push into Electronics including semiconductors, Chandrayaan-3, Gaganyaan, PDV Mk2 missile, GSLV Mk3, etc. All Indian PM have led us through transformative times, have overseen the placement of all the bricks that make up modern India. Why do you find it so impossible to celebrate Indian achievements without falling into petty politics?

Yet PM India Gandhi and PM Narendra Modi are two of the MOST iconic Prime Ministers in Indian history. The decisions that these two took majorly helped build up India's national power.

It’s obviously based on his assassination but I guess they anticipated issues with numerous parties and went out of their way to avoid naming the ex PM to the point where it’s almost amusing that the character doesn’t have a name, and that LTTE is called LTF. Goes to show how difficult it must be to make movies in India referencing real-world events.

First you have to understand that these movies doesn't do the justice to the true story "what happened in Sri Lanka" They are showing These much of tamils were killed, never mentioned how much of Sri lankans were killed by that terrorist group. They were killing people all over the country, using sucide bombers dress as pregnant ladies. So many children, fathers, mothers were killed, there were tamils, sinhales, muslims and every types of people. LTTE's target wasn't to get peace for tamils, they were trying to divide the country. If you don't know they were using so called their own tamil people as meat shields. They even killed innocent monks. and recruiting children as solders.

Wtf!! Dont throw comments if you don't know about things and especially if u want to add mirchi masala to the story. There were 5 of them who were freed by court after their satisfactory conduct in jail after 30 years. Even his children wouldn't have rights to free them as he is our prime minister. And dont even talk about humanity in that aspect the assasinators didn't just kill him but 15-19 more people present around him that day.

Can you make a reaction video on 'Mission 90 Days' (2007) Malayalam film which is based on the assassination of former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and the following investigation. The film stared Mammooty in the lead role and directed by Major Ravi, an Indian Army vet and former National Security Guard commando. He was head of the mission code-named Operation One Eyed Jack to capture suspects of the Rajiv Gandhi assassination.

This is brilliant movie , with a tight narration . However another movie could have been made to show the genesis of the trouble, how majority sinhales govt tried to sideline the minorities by bringing in laws against them. One example was making Sinhalese language compulsory for Civil services which put the minorities at backfoot. That's when various armed groups started popping up. Though i consider this movie to be perfect however i would have wished if it also included the final days of LTTE's struggle against the Sri Lankan army. It was so brutal during the last days, i know of an ambush incident that lasted for 3 days and ended killing about 200 security forces. Finally, LTTE forces got dwindled and they slowly got cornerned to a 4 km stretch of mostly jungles where they started firing at their own tamil Civilians who tried to escape from that zone. I would also like to make it clear that this movie, although made a brilliant thriller out of story but they took some cinematic liberties in doing so. For example, pinning the blame on "foreign conspirators" . The entire plot of assassinating the ex PM was the idea of LTTE and no foreign hands cajoled them to do that.
