So one clarification I want to give - Indian forces were not the ones killing Tamils. It was the Sri Lankans. India went in as a mediator, to bring back peace and get the elections going. So, the confusion that should you be on John Abraham's side, should not have arisen.

gotta give kudos to the new generation of Sri Lanka though. All this bitter war 30 years ago, but did not back down. Made the thieving president resign while a huge economic crisis, lots of Tamils and Sinhalese living in harmony in the country, I think most of the population in main Colombo area are Tamils and Muslims too. Tamil actors like Vijay Rajini Vikram Suriya are fan favorites among Sinhalese. And two Sinhalese players are fan favorites in IPL's Chennai team too.

the US is like a permanent guest, once they enter a country they never leave it. There were reports that GoSL was planning to hand over the Trincomalee Harbour to the US. Added to this it was rumored that the US was planning to install powerful radar systems in the harbor. This would have helped them keep an eye on India. Looking at the outcome(optimistically) we can say that by sending IPKF PM Rajiv Gandhi successfully chased away anti-Indian forces from entering Sri Lanka. The only mistake he did was trusting the cunning SL President who played well his game and pushed both his enemies(IPKF and LTTE) to face each other. So killing our prime minister isn't a justifiable call it only weakens our own political system and our view in the international perspective.

Not true it's srilankan army that got trained not LTTE : TRUE FACTS SOME defected to other side that's totally different scenerio. It's Europeans who trained LTTE in foreign land and take that training to Srilanka.
