The vocalist in Madrugada, Sivert Høyem, is my all time favourite male singer. His voice is so good I’m in loss of words to describe it properly. In addition to Prisoners of the road suggested in another comment, I think you would enjoy listening to Majesty, sleepwalking man and Lift me (Ane Brun and Sivert Høyem).

Hey there, my name is Thor from Norway. I am one off your subscribers. I have followed you since you started reactions to nordic musik. Yes Madrugada is from Norway. From a small town up inn the high north. Some years back they made a song called Lift Me with Ane Brun, the singer Aurora loved from her childhood ( singing for Aurora in the Haik documentery ). Really you should look it up on KZbin. See it or even better, react to it. Ane is from the same place as this band and they have known eachother since god knows when. I know you will love it. Madrugada has existed for many years. They broke up when the guitarist passed away. The singer Sivert Høyem then had a solo project (examples from the fantastic Acropolis concert: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4GXn2mtfrl5j9E and kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5WuZXyrbKaIn7s ). Hello, Bob! Awesome to see that you liked this one so much. You know, the vocalist, Sivert Høyem, has a GREAT voice, and the band Madrugada has been putting out some great stuff over the years. Absolutely no offense to the person who requested this performance, but it is one of my least favorite Madrugade performances. Taste is very subjective. By this I also try to tell you that the rest they've got is just stellar😁 Sivert has also had a very popular solo career. @@ModernLifeForThe70sMind Might mention that Robert Burås, toghether with Sivert Høyem, were the musical heart of the band. Burås sadly passed in 2007, which caused the band to quit. Høyem has since then re-gathered the band - but though they're still good, the real magic isn't there - without Burås. The live rendition of "Majesty" suggested by @poolhallshark very much highlights the musicallity and instrumental prowess of Burås. He was truly talented...

Great reaction. So fun to see people reacting to Madrugada, Sivert Høyem has some fantastic vocals. I hope you will get around to doing a Wardruna reaction. the vocalist in that group is called Einar Selvik and is another fantastic example of Norwegian talent. They use traditional instruments and make music based on and inspired by Norse myths, legends and esoteric practices. They have a song where they collaborate with Aurora called "Wardruna and Aurora - Helvegen (live)". It is about one of the Norse Realms of the dead Hel(not hell), the power of leaving behind a good reputation and the lost tradition of guiding the passing safely into the afterlife with music (It's sung in Norwegian, but the closed captions do a good job at translating the lyrics.)

Ref: 8:07 With reference to loop. On the last day before year 2000 NRK 3 Radio play one of Madrugada songs on loop for the whole 24 hours. Between song they all kinds of people presenting it before it played again. 🙂 This is a good song, but at least for me they have many songs that are better.
