It's a testament to Casino Royale's genius that I know absolutely nothing about poker, yet I never stopped feeling tension and adrenaline in those scenes.
@tobe1207
@tobe1207 11 ай бұрын
Maybe not. Because i only know a bit about poker and realize how ridiculous it was ( the betting and acting were fine) Youre making an Intelligent, spy movie with a gambling theme. Titled "Casino Royale" i get that you dont want to confuse non poker players, but they confused poker players. Why would you cater that film only to people that dont know anything?especially since the cards dont matter to them.. why not just take 5min and make it easily understandable but also realistically possible?

I hated how bad the poker scene was in the movie. I was in a small independent film with a poker in it. I told the director that it didn't make any sense and how he could tweak it to make sense. He told me it didn't matter because most people wouldn't understand it anyway. So frustrating.

I've seen a lot of poker showdowns in movies, and I cannot remember one with realistic hands.

"La chiffre" was one of the best character played by Mads, and he is one the greatest artist i have seen, He overshadowed Daniel in Casino Royale, And Benedict Cumberbatch in Dr. Strange.

One of the best villains if not best in Bond movie history. Great flick. Thanks for making it with Daniel.
