I always heard Iceland is beautiful and have seen some beautiful photos of it. Your photos and videos show that Iceland is such a magical place. Stunning is an understatement. Thanks for your hard work, it is very obvious.

Totally agree that this is one of the best waterfalls to photograph especially as it is not overrun yet with tourists, therefore you are more likely to get a good composition

I was there last October and and when I was there I was the only one. I had the whole place to myself and I never encountered one person until I left. That's when a photography group tour showed up. The drive in was pretty good and I was able to make it up to the parking lot of the falls without issue. It was just a 5-10 minute walk down to the falls from there. The lady who ran the guesthouse I stayed at told me of a short cut to the falls which saved me about an hour of driving from where I was staying. What a great location. I plan on visiting this falls again in a couple of weeks from now.

Just when I was getting my breath back from the fantastic aerial shots, your images then sucked it away again. Had to rewind and watch these again as there was something really special about these Mads. I hope you have an exhibition one day as I would dearly love to see your images on a gallery wall as like all your images from Iceland there is something special about how you capture this truly breath taking country

Simply super. Great and inspirational video. I will start my journey to Aldeyjarfoss this morning, it's December 7th and it has snowed the last days. So let's see how it works out. Thanks again!
@HaukurSv5 жыл бұрын
How did it go ? I'm planning to check it out next weekend for the first time and it's forecasting snow. I'll have a 4wd but to be safe I think I'll hike the 3 km
@Stefan1968ful5 жыл бұрын
Haukur Sverrisson Haukur Sverrisson Hi, I made it two days ago with my 4WD to the final parking lot at Aldeyjarfoss. There was no bigger issue at all, especially no ice on the final part before the parking lot. Now, it started to snow again and more snow is forecasted so this road condition might change over the next days. I think the tricky parts will be the up and downs on this F26 road, you better check and worst case park your car and walk the final part.

Aldeyjarfoss is one of hundreds of wonderful waterfalls in Iceland, tho it's one of few I haven't seen yet due to its location near the highlands at the F road. But it's definetely on my bucket list when I return to iceland in some years. I can honestly understand why it's hard for you to describe in words how the waterfalls make you feel because every waterfall look completely different to others. Would you actually mind ranking the waterfalls of their beauty? I don't believe so xD because everyone has his or her own favorite of the many many beautiful waterfalls in ICELAND. We just have to continue and continue sayin AMAZING or GORGEOUS to the icelandic foss because they're all simply breathtaking when you witness the waterfall's energy and power when you stand in front of them. Keep going Mads!

In August I stand at the Godafoss with 200-300 visitors all arround. One hour later I was at the Aldeyjarfoss - I was alone - in this touristic summer. I know this waterfall twice in Winter, many often in summer. I have some good pictures - but not so good as yours. Thank you for your tipps ( 0,8 sec and so on ). Do you know the next waterfall two kilometers south? (something with goat. hafra.xy.foss) Also special! Your droneflights are super. Mads, thank you for your channel.

It is very tempting to attempt such an incredible journey in winter.But I would leave it till summer time where the ground is more favourable although nothing is guarenteed weather wise.I think photo adventure seekers need to balance effort with reward.I wish Mads Peter to do a itinerary for beginners Intermediate and advanced photographers to capture Iceland and Lofoton.Nevertheless Peter you are a great adventureer I have ever seen.best wishes.

Love your videos Mads. But sometimes I feel like the long exposures of moving water are over done so I particularly like the images that show the concentric rings although the outreaching “rays” in the longer exposures are also intriguing. Your descriptions and camera technique suggestions are welcome. Thanks for another epic video and the opportunity to live vicariously through your travels.

@MadsPeterIversen5 жыл бұрын
I was there in October yes, the thing about the Icelandic weather is you can't predict it. You might have heard it was rainy, but I've been there in October both during a blizzard but also on a clear day. Never heard about any hot springs at Aldeyjarfoss. Do you mean Myvatn nature baths? And it depends on what parking lot you mean? Did you see the video?
