Maduravoyal - Chennai Port Double Decker Elevated Expressway project work shared in this video.
Covered Vanagaram to Koyambedu work in this video. This project restated almost after 10 years. Initially this project started at 2009 almost 20% work completed till 2011. After that this project work stopped for around 10 years due to various reasons.
Finally this project changed as Double Decker Elevated Expressway project and restarted at 2023. JKumar Infra projects is the contractor for this project.
Estimated cost of this project is around Rs 5800 crores. Total length of this project is around 20 km.
I guess from Maduravoyal to Koyambedu it will. e constructed as single level elevated section. From Koyambedu to Napier bridge it will be constructed as double decker elevated section.
At first level normal vehicles traffic will be allowed. It will have around 7 entry ramps and 6 exit ramps at various locations acces to first level.
At second level only heavy vehicles line Container lorry bound for Chey port will be allowed. From Maduravoyal to Koyambedu this project will be constructed at Poonamalle High road. From Koyambedu to Chennai Port this project route will be along Cooum river bed i guess.
Once this project completed Madurai to Chennai Port can be reached within 30 minutes. Within 3 years this project will be completed i guess.

Atleast it ll take 10 yrs to complete maduravoyal bridge work,tbm cgl elevated section,blue line corrider extn,green field airport , metro to pattabiram and parandur villivakkam terminal,on gng orange red purple line works

Already MOU agreement signed between NHAI, Tamilnadu government, Chennai Port & Indian Navy ( INS Adyar ). So this time there will not be any delay for this project i guess.

I think underground takes almost decade to complete. This project fully constructed by National Highway Authority of India ( NHAI ) of Central government.
