Just a heads up that the artisit "Quasimoto" that appears on a few of the songs on this album is actually madlibs rapping alter ego. His album "The Unseen" is an absolute classic and worth a listen, some of madlibs best production combined with an absolutely amazing rap style and personality from him. You'd definitely find it an interesting listen since you seem to like his production style.

The first things I did after taking a while to let it kick In was I played Doomsday when that chorus hit it hit so damn hard I miss the man everyday and I still find it hard to believe he is gone. "The rest is empty with no brain but the clever nerd, the best MC with no chain ya ever heard". For the time that was the best rhyme ever to me cuz everybody at that time was about branding and selling their sneaker and their crew and he just came out and said I'm weird and I'm better than every rapper you love.

I can honestly say this album will affect me for life. I can still tap into that moment when I realized this existed and the final sounds of rhinestone cowboy faded as I was just in awe. And the fact that I just happened to stumble into this no assistance it was like I found out how to space travel and it has been right there just laying on the floor the whole time. My favorite reaction to this album.. I loved the video.. Almost like reliving those moments again.

I love this album. However, for me, I like his other albums maybe more. This is because of the interludey tracks etcetera. Whole album experience is dope though, but I shuffle my whole 'music database', so when songs of this album come on as a standalone it's hard to get into. Loved the reaction, and hope to see you dive in further in his amazing discography So fav tracks: all caps, meat grinder, Figaro, money folder.

It took me maybe 15 listens before I understood that this is a legendary album. I didn’t understand it at all. You understood so much more about this than I did on my first time. You’ve really come a long way in understanding music so I applaud and thank you for this reaction. My favorite bar (which came right after you said this album broke your mind haha, so I knew you’d miss it) is on Great Day. “Spit so many verses sometimes my jaw twitches

Before I talk about this album, I loved the message at the end of the vid and agree 100%, love the earnest nature of these reactions and you as a person. I grew up with rap but was never that heavily invested in music in general. When I was 18 I really delved into music deeply, hip-hop especially, and a couple years later I decided to listen to this masterpiece, and it just solidifed why this is the kind of music I will always come back to, always feel some comfort in. I have probably heard it over 100 times in the past several years and I will still find new things to appreciate. Your reaction is still my reaction sometimes as the density of the bars and rhyme schemes is absurd, especially given I have written a lot of raps and poems so it puts into perspective the next level he was on during this time period. There's a reason he is the quintessential "your favourite rapper's favourite rapper." Would love to hear your thoughts on it down the line when you've listened to it more and had time to ruminate, it deserves it.

The best part of Madvillainy is just how dense DOOM’s lyrics are. It’s one of the big reasons why this album never gets old and in face gets better every listen. There’s always new bars to catch, new ways to interpret bars, and new parts of the story to catch. It’s why this album has over time raised on my all time favorites and not lowered like you’d think an album would after listening to it 50+ times.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan GREAT REACTION!! I love MF DOOM. But first time u hear him, is too mach for the brain. The most lyrical, exhausting. If u hear another great lyrical MC, u think "give me more!!". But when u hear MF DOOM, u think "wow, hold on, I gotta back to the begginin' and take my time". That's too much for the brain. So u can act like u understand everithing this firs time, and like u're enjoying that (nobody would believe it), or act honestly, like u did, despite u can't bring us the coolest reaction. U did the only thing that an honest guy can do: flip, but say "that's too much, man, I admit that my brain can't handle that this very first time". U did the right thing, man, I love your honesty.
