Wow that is a long time. I have a BenQ x3000i and it's nowhere near that long, maybe 3 seconds.

That's nice. I look forward to a future projector upgrade with naturally shorter sync times.

This is great. Now if you can get Trinnov to sync audio quickly it would be great . Hummm not happening

Do you know if Lumagen has Motion AI or similar functionality?

It does not.

Hi, thanks for the tip. Can I also use this setting for a TV? Thank you and best regards from Austria ( Europe )❤

TV's sync so much faster with HDMI that I would bother doing this. A second or two black screen is not big deal, IMO. Plus, you need the madVR to not make the menus look really bad, which isn't worth the price just for that feature on television.

@@Techthusiasm OK, thank you very much for the information.

I have the same exact setup. I get a black screen every 10 minutes when watching dolby vision content on netflix. No dolby vision content and dolby vision on other apps works just fine. Any idea what could be causing it? The only setting that is different in my setup is Match content and frame rate on ATV 4k. Could that be causing it?

Try a different HDMI cable. That sounds like a signaling issue.

My Sony 7000 takes about 12 to 13 seconds to switch modes. It's brutal. I even have a Lumagen, but prefer native resolutions/frame rates/color spaces/etc. So, I just deal with it. My question to you is this: Why can't projector manufacturers use processors and HDMI boards lke standards TVs that allow for faster switching of modes? In other words, why can your OLED switch in less than 2 seconds and your projector takes 18 to 19 seconds? It doesn't make sense to me.

I agree 100%. I'm not sure if the black out time limit on projectors is a processing power thing that could be solved with stronger parts though, or if it is something inherent to the projection engine itself.

Thanks for the tip. Thanks for the tips My JVC NP5 has around a 8-9 second handshake/sync time. I've never seen one as long as yours (TWSS 🤣). Is this something standard to the NX line from JVC? Or is there something in your setup that is causing the extra blank screen time?
@Techthusiasm5 ай бұрын
The NP/NZ is faster than the NX, I believe.

@techthusiasm This trick would not work well if we watch a lot of 60fps content such as sports (KZbin NFL as an example) correct?
@Techthusiasm5 ай бұрын
Correct. This is kind of a cinematic content-specific move to keep everything fixed at 24 Hz. It would still be OK to leave the Match Frame Rate turn one though, so native 60 Hz stuff would play at 60 Hz with a black screen sync.
