​@@mir8clegamingyeah sure but did they really need to have luigi do nothing for the whole movie? they could have put him in jail and have him interact more with the others and maybe try to escape, or maybe not even put him in jail and have him run around getting to know a bit about the shadow lands, since Mario and Peach didn't know he was capture, only that he was in Bowser's territory. he could have been captured close to the ending so that he meets Mario there but anyways having Luigi be non-existant was a bad choice imo.

Totally agree. My first viewing I could barely even focus on anything because I was just totally overwhelmed by it all, but the second time it all came together really nicely. Obviously it's not a cinematic masterpiece or anything, but as a Mario Movie, I think it's really fantasic. The spirit of the games is kept and the world is expanded in interesting ways, which is all I could ask for. Really excited to see what happenes next. Would love for the sequel to be Galaxy themed!

The movie was certainly not without its flaws, but I had a great time with it. Mario is my Mickey Mouse. He's the guy. So I had a big stupid grin on my face the whole time looking at the visual and audio references. My favorite thing about it is how it kind of merges all the disparate elements of Mario's world throughout the years into one, creating a veritable fountain of creative potential. I love this version of the Mushroom Kingdom (and adjacent areas). The Jungle Kingdom was my favorite part, in large part due to the clever pun that essentially composes that entire section of the movie. The reason the Kongs are in charge of MarioKart is that they're literal grease monkeys. Absolute genius.

This is the only movie I've seen where I've repeatedly seen people say they've seen it twice if not more. It's also the very first movie I've seen multiple times (I've seen it 3 times). I've always heard of the term "Feel good movie" but it's not until the Mario Movie where I truly understood what that meant and feels like, which is why I enjoy it so much.

As much as I loved the film, I do wonder how different it'd have been had Dreamworks been the ones to do the movie instead of Illumination. Given it was doing so well on brand recognition alone, perhaps it'd still do as well. Also I had this sequel idea in my head where Fawful would be introduced as a new lackey to Bowser but in a Meta Twist, rather than betraying Bowser and becoming the main villain like fans would expect him, he ends up being a better influence on the Koopa King. Also he'd be voiced by Josh Gad.

The Mario and Luigi series has by far my favorite version of Bowser, so I would love to see some influence from those games on the films. Honestly M&L Bowser is more of a Jack Black character than movie Bowser. As far as Josh Gad... It's hard to imagine that with Fawful's unique way of speaking. But it'd probably be hard to imagine anyone speaking that way. But Josh Gad as Professor E. Gadd would be fun.

I Was so pumped to see all my favorite characters play a major rule in the movie and wonder will they ever open up their backstory. Ive waited my whole life waiting for this moment when i first saw my idol i was Blown away to see all their designs.
