why it sounds so different to the album version?

it sounds different because Mae's lead singer is an over produced studio artist you will not find one single live video or attend a live show where he sounds as good as the album because in reality he doesn't. but in a studio with pitch correctors and filters and lots of editing his voice can be made into something enjoyable. I love mae but live they might as well just play a backing track of his vocals cause he isn't able to perform them

Scott Ellis not true at all lol. I saw them on the everglow tour and he was awesome. I sing as well and have for years in bands so im not just saying that. Also every single band and artist uses auto tune or pitch correction and nobody on earth will sound exactly like their record so chill buddy
