It's incredible how hard people in the overpopulated Asian countries work to make a living. And so many of them risk their lives in various ways, just so they can feed their families and have a roof over their heads. Total respect for the work ethic. Some of these vendors makes like $400-$500 daily profit selling their foodstuffs to tourists. I don't think they are really desperate in the sense that you're perceiving. There's a lot of underground economy in Thailand and these people are getting the free ride by not paying any taxes. From the views of outsiders, they appear to be all poor, desperate, and innocent, but many of them have more money than you!

@6977warrior15 жыл бұрын
Sam- Yes, just look at 1:04 at the guy walking backwards and a few others. It must be that the poster, for this video, didn't have a front view of the train, so they simply ran the video backwards to show the train is coming. It looked normal though when the train left since he was probably recording out the back of the train. But there are other videos on KZbin if you really want to see the people scurrying when the train does come.

Well, I call Thailand my home sweet home, and it's quite a quirky place. You see, we had train tracks running through the area way before the market was even a thing. And when people started flocking in, they had to learn how to dodge the trains like it was a game of Frogger. But here's the kicker: since the market was built, we haven't had a single train-related mishap. I guess our folks have finally mastered the art of train-dodging, or maybe the trains have finally learned to give way to our bustling market. Who knows?
