This is one of my favorite series because of its storyline and Season 3 did not disappoint me. I (kind of) understand why so many fans prefer ruby over Maeve because ruby has character development that made everyone love her and Maeve and Otis don't have many scenes than in the previous two. But still, the chemistry is different when it comes to Maeve and Otis. Rooting for season 4 because we're left on a cliffhanger once more. I heard some rumors that Emma Mackey (Maeve) will leave sex education for some reason, pls someone confirms to me that it's fake news or I will have a mental breakdown.

I'm a grown man watching this and just smiling ear to ear lol I think this is one of the best romances ever put to screen. I could say why I think it's so great but I think everyone already knows. It's one of those things where no matter what happens, two people are just drawn to each other. Sometimes you just meet someone that makes you feel whole. It's great.

I absolutely adored Ruby and otis but the thing is we never saw Maeve and otis giving their relationship a try and if the writers decide to make Ruby and otis endgame then the characters and the audience will always imagine what could have been. So they should definitely give Maeve and otis a real chance before making a decision.

Yeah, personally I’m 100% team rotis after season 3, but I know that if they do end up back together without giving Otis and Maeve a proper chance together Otis will always wonder what he could have had with Maeve. I honestly think they’re better off just being good friends tho, I just feel like they’ve been chasing each other’s tails for 3 seasons now and they keep getting pulled apart by some unknown force, like they literally got together at the end of the season and STILL got separated. It’s just getting really boring now. Plus we’ve seen the damage they’ve caused trying to be together, between them they’ve broke 3 peoples hearts (Jackson, Ola and Ruby). Ola you could argue wasn’t exactly heartbroken but still, Maeve was a big part of the reason they broke up so I’m counting it, especially since Maeve CHOSE to get between them knowing exactly what would happen as a result, I don’t think Otis and Ola would have lasted anyway since she had already developed feelings for Lily before any of that happened if I remember it correctly, but at the very least Maeve should have respected Otis enough to let him realise that on his own, Maeve almost ended his friendship with Eric who he’s known since he was five because she pretty much forced him to help her find out who sent the photo instead of celebrating his best friends birthday, sure they made up a few episodes later but if Maeve hadn’t been so selfish it never would have happened in the first place, and Otis literally ignored a call from Jakob trying to tell him his mum might die (admittedly he didn’t know that’s what Jakob was calling him for but at the same time Jakob doesn’t strike me as the kind of person to ring Otis out of the blue unless it was important). And I have a horrible feeling it will be Jean’s turn in season 4, we know Aimee told her something about Maeve during their therapy sessions, it’s possible she told her that Maeve helped Otis with the clinic which we all know Jean didn’t exactly approve of, so we could end up in a situation where Otis can either choose to ruin his relationship with his mum or break up with Maeve. I hope beyond hope that doesn’t actually happen but it’s still a possibility. Something else that could be an issue with Otis and Maeve ending up together is the writers then leave themselves little to no room to have any interaction with Otis and Ruby. Whereas with the route where Otis and Ruby get back together we’ve already established over 3 seasons Otis and Maeve can work really well as friends so they have space to expand both stories, I can’t imagine Otis and Ruby agreeing to just be friends after what we saw in season 3. Not to mention the fact that Otis and Ruby’s relationship (what little we saw of it) is in many people’s opinion the single most adorable thing to even be seen on TV. So I do think to an extent it’s important for Otis and Maeve to try again in season 4, but I think they’re better off realising they work better as friends. Just my opinion I’m not here to start a toxic argument about which couple is better.

@@rbaz9454 at the moment yes, I don’t think either of them want to be just friends, but peoples feelings can change, just because you love someone now doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll love them for the rest of your life. Also I feel like a whole season of Otis and Maeve getting along perfectly in a relationship would just be the most boring and depressing thing you will ever see no matter who you ship, having to wait at least a year (Edit: and now we know from the casting call for the 2 new characters that they’re filming from April to November next year it could even theoretically be a 1 and a half or even 2 year wait depending on how long editing and everything takes) for season 4 only for it to just be essentially an 8 hour romcom would be so underwhelming, especially for people who ship Otis and Ruby because we’re then having to wait 1-2 years for a whole season of a storyline we have little to no interest in, and like I said I think most Motis fans wouldn’t enjoy it as much as they might think either. There needs to be some form of conflict to keep the viewers interested, and I think their feelings for the people they were with this season (Ruby and Isaac) would be a good way to provide that conflict. Because it was quite clear that Maeve wanted to keep trying a relationship with Isaac even after she had kissed Otis in France and I honestly don’t think it’s completely insane to say she was falling in love with Isaac/possibly already in love with him, because the only reason she went back to Otis was because Isaac broke up with her, if he hadn’t done that I’m willing to bet she would have chose Isaac over Otis. I don’t like it any more than anyone else does because he’s a lying manipulative prick but the thing is even after finding out that he had manipulated her Maeve still wanted to stay with him, and as a lot of Motis fans say about Otis’ feelings for Maeve “the heart wants what it wants”. And you see clearly from the way that Otis is talking to Ruby in France that he still really cares about her. “I didn’t want to hurt you, and I feel worse thinking you hate me” he obviously feels like shit for hurting her like that and spends basically the whole trip up to that point trying to apologise and make it right so they can be together again, the only reason he didn’t keep trying is because Ruby said “I just can’t be around you right now” he was respecting that and giving her the space she needed to realise that she had made a mistake. Also why would he care if she hated him or not if he didn’t still have some form of feelings for her? It’s not as if he’s expecting her to say they can still be friends literally the day after he broke her heart that badly. Just because Otis loves Maeve now doesn’t mean he didn’t, doesn’t or can’t ever love Ruby. The writers definitely aren’t done with Maeve and Isaac or Otis and Ruby yet, maybe not in a romantic sense quite yet but it’s possible, and either way there’s definitely going to be a lot of tension between them in season 4. I think the main issue I have with Otis and Maeve as a couple is that they’re already really similar and they’re both good characters, whereas Otis and Ruby have very little in common and Ruby as a character currently has a lot of flaws. With Otis and Maeve in a relationship there isn’t really much room for either of them to grow because they’re already really similar, whereas based on what we saw of their relationship this season, Otis and Ruby were both changing each other for the better and becoming more similar (as we see on the bowling date when Ruby starts off being really cold towards everyone and she’s clearly not comfortable being there, but then she actually starts having fun and enjoying herself which I’m willing to bet isn’t something that happens to her often), or at the very least accepting their differences, Ruby was becoming less of a bitch and Otis became more confident, there’s so much room for them to both help each other become better, which IMO would be infinitely more entertaining to watch than seeing Otis and Maeve being an absolutely perfect couple for an entire season.

To all the Rotis shippers there's a fact abt the show that is the writers made Otis and Ruby as a couple for first 3 seasons just because so that Otis can realise that there's only person in his life who he's in love with and that is Maeve. This is the reason why in the last episode of season 3 Otis told Jean that Maeve is his person.
