Great review. You're the first reviewer who has complained about a loose joint on this figute. Mines came out perfect. All joints were firm and fluid. This is definitely the best all platic 6 inch Batman ever made IMO.

I've been telling people ever since the homecoming spider-man was announced(and is out now) to stop sleeping on mafex. S.h figuarts have been slacking lately with the accessories, details, and looks imo. In comparison to the sh bats this figure is just far superior.

Welcome back Uncle Ben, I agree with you there, the funny thing is that they pay a lot of attention to their local heroes like ultraman or kamen rider but when it comes to characters like DC or Marvel they kinda slack off I guess they already know they'll be competing with plenty of other action figure companies so they couldn't be bothered unless it's a character no other companies have done such in the case of the Nolan Batman figure.

Glad to see Mafex finally heading in the right direction now!!!!! In most areas, this is a step forward from their BvS Batman, which I really love, aside from the quality control issues. My only gripe is I wish the cape had bendy wire like usual, cuz this figure is very close to perfection and if it had bendy wire in the cape, it would be THAT MUCH BETTER!!!!

Wow!!! MAFEX is catching my attention and interest more and more. First with Homecoming Spidey and now this (double thumbs down and a big booo for the lose joint at the torso though). I have to say this is the perfect Batfleck, almost. I can't help but noticed the grenade launcher is without the trigger point LOL! The head piece is just amazing! Mouth piece, eyes and head proportion in general, this is how you do it Bandai. The leather cape is another step up the game. **clap clap clap** I can't wait to see the product from MAFEX. Good review as always bro!

Hahaha yeah it's a shame that my figure had the loose ab joint but someone mentioned their figure was perfect so I'm glad it's just on my figure but I do wish it was more consistent between each figures, but yeah mafex has been doing a really good job so it'll be curious to see whether they can topple the current king of six inch figures, haha the leather cape has been received with mixed reviews, some really don't like it while others do, so yeah, I'm really excited to see their other figures now, I got the Superman coming soon so hopefully it doesn't suffer from loose joints as well

Finally my cinematic counterpart is represented rightly in action figure form in both height and likeness by a company other than Mezco One 12 Collective and Hot Toys!!!!!! OH. BAT-HELL. YYEEAAHH!!! Edit: Although my cape could've been made a to drape a little better, and the chest joint could've been made a little tighter. Also MAFEX forgot the new touch screen computer on the batsuit that was earlier on in the movie when I was tracking the parademon, but other than that I got to go show Alfred! Am DEFINITELY picking this guy up. Shame about your loose joints though Ken. Could you possibly get some glue onto those joints to tighten them?? And yeah the cape is a bit lacking. I'm always wanting to see a cape that drapes down in front but then can be folded back over the shoulders, so I'll be looking for a custom cape for this guy. ...Other than that, this will be my new favourite Bat figure! Hope that works for ya man :-) ...Naa I don't really mind the material just the way it's cut (and stitched) so that it doesn't come down over the shoulders. And like you showed, if you bring the cape together to cover the body it ends up with those large kinks. I'm not sure if that material could ever be cut so that it doesn't "kink" when hanging in front. I might have to try cloth instead...like Mezco's Dark Knight Returns capes. Like you say though...Overall an absolutely supreme figure!

Nomadunlimited Pick yourself up a Movie Masters Man of Steel figure. It’s got the most optimistic facial expression of all the Cavill figures released so far. It’s he most “Superman” looking one of them all. I threw a custom cape on mine and now it looks like a phenomenal Superman figure. Mattel made half decent figures for Man of Steel. Not sure what happened to them after that lol

Nomadunlimited I’ve seen pictures of the Superman over on the Fwoosh forums it looks horrible man. The face and hair together give him the head shape of an upside down triangle. Worse than the Mafex BvS Superman imo. The only improvement here is maybe him having a bigger torso i can hardly tell, and his skin tone. But the headsculpts of the previous Superman figure were better. And those ones were terrible enough lol These companies just can’t capture the essence of Superman in their Cavill figures. It’s weird, the likeness to Cavill is there but the likeness to Superman isn’t. And in the films Cavill makes a great Superman imo.

Great review, love your content.. This figure is beautiful to look at but $80+ for a batman figure with the possibility of loose joint articulation!? I just don't trust the quality of mafex to risk paying that price for loose joints.. And I'd be a lot more upset than you are for that loose chest piece.

Ahhh I totally understand your concern, as for me, yeah I normally would be upset if I gotten a loose joint but considering what I use to have from them it's definitely an improvement so it doesn't bother me as much especially since the loose joint happened in the ab area, if it was the leg area like the previous figures then I would've definitely rated it much lower, i rather have a figure who can't stand straight rather than not stand at all. Like the Superman figure you saw in the conclusion portion, I actually had to hold him from the bottom to take that photo haha

KenOhwee haha it's true that superman figure was criminal, the fact that they charged people money for the piece of shit shows just how bad mafex can be. I took a risk on their homecoming spiderman because it looked so damn good and thankfully I got a piece that wasn't loose, but ive noticed the hyke in their prices since then and to me the price still doesn't match the quality. I mean you can buy a mezco for that price! And the quality there is night and day. Anyway I'm happy your happy with it, and I'm not trying to convince anyone not to buy this figure, except myself of course 😂 I think if this figure was $60 maybe you could justify the purchase, but $80+ when you consider shipping too? Brittle plastic and the possibility of loose joints.. no thank you mafex! Good day bro

It's under $80 right now but to your point all these figures are overpriced IMO, but they sell out so the market disagrees apparently. A drop or two of pledge floor care really does help tighten loose joints.

Unfotunately not, the hole in the mezco head is a little too big for the peg used in the mafex figure so it cant be used unfortunately, same goes for the mafex ben affleck head which I forgot to highlight, the hole on that head is too small so it can't fit as well which is a shame

I'd say it's pretty close, both are amazing batman figures and both have a few flaws as well but if it comes down to it, I'd still pick the shf dark knight batman but only just slightly, when S.H Figuarts pay attention to a particular figure, it really shows, accessories, sculpt, articulation of that guy was just fantastic. but then again if you want a justice league batman figure, then this figure is the current champion

I think this figure is bang on as far as accuracy but one thing I’ve noticed I don’t like about this costume design they went with is that when you look at him from a distance the headsculpt or cowl design is too rounded off and Batman’s ears are very short. It just looks strange not seeing a square headed Batman. Seeing it side by side with the mezco illustrates what i consider a proper Batman cowl design (mezco) vs an awkward Batman cowl design looking all rounded instead of being square at the sides. I was so pumped for this figure but my hype is slowly dying. Everything is so perfect... the sculpt of the body, the cape, the paint choices, and the detail and mouth painting of the face sculpts looks incredible for a mafex figure. But that damn head design just has to prevent this figure from being perfect of course. One little thing... I know but it’s just such a crucial element to get right when you make a batman figure. But this is the costume designers fault not Mafex’s they were just going for accuracy. I couldn’t tell his head was so rounded in the movie because we rarely ever saw him looking straight at the camera. But now that I look at the promo pics of him I can see that his cowl was indeed rounded on the sides

Thanks for your feedback, I see you're really passionate when it comes to Batman figures, even I didn't realise the cowl detail so thanks for pointing that out. As for your other comment, I do have a facebook page but I haven't been updating it and I don't have a gallery of additional photos of this guy or any other figures I've reviewed unfortunately, so what you see in the videos is pretty much the extent of photos I take with the action figures, but I might consider doing that in the future or maybe through my instagram page

KenOhwee Haha 😆 i am very passionate about Batman figures i’ve been looking for the perfect batman fig forever This one comes pretty close I think it maybe just depends on what angle the camera/figure is sitting at because i see some points in this video and in others that it doesn’t look as bad as others. Won’t know for sure till I get mine in and start playing around with the head and neck myself You think sanding the sides of the head a little bit to square it off would work if i had to? If you consider that i’m willing to sacrifice the perfect paint job on it and repaint if I have to
