I prefer mcfarlane if we're talking value and I'd prefer it in general if it had more paint but this figure is incredible, love the jean paul valley head sculpt and cloth goods cape. Great review brad

Bruh this figure is leaps and bounds better then any dc figure mcfarlane has ever done. This puts his knightfall figure to absolute shame.

@@thefatman69dude I guess we might value different aspects in figures. I agree this is much better but value wise I prefer mcfarlane and I feel if the mcfarlane one had proper paint I'd prefer it without value taken into account.

@@Clay3613 Not really. 7 inch is right up there with 6 inch now thanks to Mcfarlane. Sure 6 inch has a bigger lead but with the only mass release scale being 7 inch that gap will eventually shrink to nothing.

Gold ?????!!!!! Am I the only one who realizes that's chrome silver, not gold I personally would have rathered mafex go with the same design as McFarlane, this is accurate so it's not a complaint I just like the design that McFarlane chose The bicep swivel should have been on the yellow, the little thick part, it's rounder so it would have been more hidden

The stomach area is indeed silver with a hint if blue, but the chest is gold/yellow. That's what Brad means.

Awesome review! On my copy, I can actually pull the neck forward a little and then tilt the head back. He can actually look up pretty well, considering his collar. Beautiful figure and great articulation.

How tall is this figure? I have the new McFarland DC Multiverse Bane figure coming in and was wondering if this would be a good Azrael figure to get to scale with that?

This is only in scale with dcuc or 6 inch line, so not much compatible with mcfarlane figures. Unless you are really looking for that stark difference for artistic reason

@@craxyman9025 $100 plus? Are you sure? I paid $60 for mine. And the shipping fee isn't Mafex's fault as they are not figures meant for the Western market and that is down to the buyer. And you do realize some Western made figures cost more in Asia? It works both ways. The difference being the McFarlane is a mass produced product aimed at a younger audience and the Mafex is collector's item for the more discerning buyer.

I was never a fan of this design for Az-bats. It looked really bland and incomplete, and only looked "proper" once he added the visored helmet to it. I don't like this head sculpt at all; it looks like a snoutless dog or something. The McFarlane version of this figure has a much better head. Too bad they're different scales. I bet that head would look great on this body.

Definitley a great figure. But I just cannot justify spending 100+ bucks for a 6 inch figure. Especially when Mcfarlane is charging 20 for one that is only slightly inferior.

That’s a bs review. I have seen him review Mcfarlane figures with the same issues and trash them, and they are way cheaper than this. This doesn’t look up at all, but still good? I guess he’s getting some of these for free…

I remember when McFarlane started doing DC figures and he was complaining about too many Bat-related characters coming out, yet he still bought them! Its like "dude, you don't HAVE to buy/review every figure if you don't want to."

yeah sometimes reviewers in general will forgive a lot if it's a preferred character or company, I just think they should point that out when they have a bias.

It's a bulky armoured figure with the neck covered by the armour piece which prevents looking up, which isn't a priority. Same way you can excuse the arms not going up also because of the armour. It is form over function. It may not be the most mobile, but definitely is very acurate and an excellent figure. The colours, sculpt, unmasked head and cape are all great. Which are way more important. If a Spider-Man, Superman or Iron Man figure had such limited head movement than I could understand. To claim this figure was given to Brad for free because you don't agree with his opinion is wrong of you.
