I have the platnium for mafia 1. This video brought back the ptsd from that race. You really do just have to be lucky. 😊

I was stuck on that race mission for like 2 or 3 days before I got lucky and did it. There was 5 mental breakdowns. That race was hell on classic lol 😂

To make the race much easier on classic you can cheese the AI by creating a pile up. It causes them to get bunched together and stuck. After that you can do the track at your own pace. Takes a bit of practice but I got it after 5 tries. There's videos on youtube on how to do it

Cool video. I subscribed. I hunt Platinum trophies as well. Got 34 so far. Spent a while on Mafia II, the PS3 version but got stuck due to that stupid wanted poster - the one you have to drive off the bridge to reach. I'm about 10% there with Mafia: Definitive Edition. It's that blinking race which does me in. You can cheese it apparently. But I'd prefer to do it legit. Anyway, really enjoyed your video. Love your reactions, especially when that guy wouldn't get into the car at 7:50.

Thanks so much I really appreciate it! I have 48 platinum trophies now! Once I hit 50 I might make a video talking about them all! Mafia 2 definitely was a lot more time consuming with those stinky wanted posters it actually sucked.. I got really lucky with the race mission so I’ll take it! I try to be myself when making content and not fake it so I appreciate that!

It was such a grind, I’m glad I found the guide I used or it would of taken forever.. the 50 foxes were so unnecessary bro. Don’t even start with the race pure torture had pstd from it

@@toomuchdiponmychips Oh brother I missed one out the 50 and had to back track through the first 15 to get it thankfully it was the 16th one. Then I messed up and accidentally changed my Classic difficulty and had to redo it

I would give everyone a tip so that you don't do anything wrong, make it the hardest level when playing and when the race comes, which is known to be the most terrible thing in the game, then you turn the controller sensitivity completely high then all you have to do is be careful how you press it and then you can do it her it quickly

@@andreitudorache1073 appreciate that my guy it means a lot!! I actually got the platinum for Mafia 3 when it came out before I started recording and let me tell you… I played through the game I think 5 or 6 times to get the platinum it was torture

Tips for the race: it is so bad I'm at the point of almost paying someone to do it, lol.

I watched a couple tutorials on YT that helped but it’s all luck, have to take turning easy even if you slow way down. I use the break/reverse (L2) before a turn then Acceleration (R2) to slowly speed back, if you want I can release the footage of how I did the race later this week if you’re really struggling!

There’s one trick that makes the race so much easier and it is to use the ram feature to make turns as you can’t spin out while using it. I used it when going for my classic play through and while I had already completed one play through on hard before I completed the race on classic difficulty on my first try with a large margin to second place with this trick

Finished the story on classic, after I had to try every mission for like 20 times I got it. Before the race started I had the difficulty on classic, before the corner I changed it to easy and before the finish line again to classic. Much more easier and in the menu it says I finished it on classic and got the trophy for it but I didn't get the finish story on classic trophy. Do I have to to the race again?😭 Anyone else have that issue? Glitch worked but the trophy didn't pop. I even have Mafia 2 on plat which was way more annoying with the collectibles who don't even show on the map and we're hard to reach... I'm so frustrated dude

Maybe try doing the race on classic and see if the trophy will hope of not you’ll have to start the whole story all over again unfortunately. I do have a guide on how to do the race mission on my channel. Hope it helps out. Let me know how you go!
