I mean, if you got the ending, where Vito was running all of New Bordeaux, the Commission (including Leo) would have to deal directly with Vito himself. So i'm thinking that, at some point, they would've/should've smoothed things over.... at least before 2016..... because you could see that Vito was still alive at that time, during the interview(s) with Retired FBI Agent McGuire.

As much as I enjoy this game, a lotta things don't make sense. One in particular in this mission is Vito is aWar Veteran well trained by the US Military. He knows every skill from shooting to hand to hand combat according to the people I know who are US veterans & yet he couldn't take On'neill apart in that first fight? It frustrated me too cause I know what buttons to press & I'll be damned, it didn't let me get much hits in. Nah in real life, Vito woulda made O'Neill his bitch.
