Lincoln plays like a trained with his combat abilities and aiming. Tommy feels like more of a untrained dude with the added weapon sway and taken out hand to hand stuff. So definitely mafia 3 is better imo. Plus they removed the a lot of the blood in mafia remake which I didn’t like as much

Ian Scott I played the definitive edition and they solved a lot of issues, still some minor bugs but the game was enjoyable just the repetitiveness which was the biggest issue with it. Hope Lincoln gets another game

The animations are cool, especially the 1st counterattack unarmed (neck snap under the arm), but ragdolls always seem like a sandbag. Bit more soul into them would be nice tbh.

I wish M3 had a better gore system. It's one of the most brutal games ever made and it has the plus of contextualize that violence...yet it miss a lot of blood. No head injuries, no amputations even bullet holes are missing for the most part. The only good effect is when you perform a HS

And by brutal i don't mean that it has the highest amount of gore and blood but that it conveys the sense of revenge of the protagonist and character you control in various ways. It perfectly match the mood of the game but unfortunatley it lacks a lot of blood that would make it more scenic. The only similiar game that i can think of that conveys brutal revenge in the same way is The Punisher for the PS2.

Mafia I (remake) is a real mafia game but it takes like 10 hours to complete and there's no sidequest. Mafia II is similar but is more immersive with interactive environment, the cops are funnier to mess around with and there are also there are armed gangsters walking around the city but the shooting gameplay is less great. Mafia III isn't much of a mafia game more like an open world punisher one. It's fun the take over the city, i has cool executions and you can choose which part of the city to start and has alternate endings.

Mafia 3 in my opinion is better but in Mafia 1 they used the excuse that he doesnt have Military experience so therefore he wont use similar fight skills then Lincoln. So since they said that I knew before launch that this game is only going to be halfway on its potential against Mafia 2 and 3. So since that we got remaster now it's time to focus on Mafia 4 during the 70s or 80s!

@@ACE-777. bro the mafia remake in my opinion was great dude they learned from their mistakes and fixed all the bugs and glitches from mafia 3 and made the game work and even though it has the same mechanics as mafia 3 it's still good besides there have been other games that used the same mechanics as their last title like gta vice city it had the same mechanics as gta 3 except they added in new things like helicopters and motorcycles and in the mafia remake they added in motorcycles and new special and crazy vehicles to use in free ride mode or story mode and new fight mechanics instead of just instantly killing the guy in one hit like in mafia 3.

As a Mafia series fan,I can 100% say,that Mafia remaster has nothing to do with original game - it's SUPER bad...even mafia 3 is more fun,serious and better....M-Re is pure b-movie garbo with 1/3 of content and features are missing...dumbed down game in all fronts....The OG Mafia 1 was like The Godfather movie and M-Re is like bootleg "good fellas" of a drunk man... Classic difficulty and I finished it under 9 hours...

Its amazing that the best parts of the remake are just the ones where you dont get to play the game: Graphics, voice acting, cinematics and story to a certain extent, driving, while not being something bad it is definetley a downgrade from the 2001 game where each car would have weight, phisics, and way better damage than this game where wheels wont come of, and gameplay wise it became a generic third person cover shooter game, no skill required, qte combat, inmortal companions and the weapons feel bland and some of them have bad sound design, the clasic dificulty doesnt fixes this, why? max payne 3 had a good clasic difficulty by removing the cover system and making enemies more smarter, here it just rescues a small feature from the og, you no longer have to crouch to shoot, potect your partners from dying or learn to drive the cars; also why so many cutscenes and redesigns? why do you have to limit the player options so much, why do they had to retcon the story and characters? Since there is no evidence that the game was rushed here is what i believe: Hangar 13 are bad developers that dont know how to organize time and resorces, they most likely spend everything making the cutscenes and the mocap rather than giving us good gameplay or making a better freeride where they dont have to cut the interiors or the missions and give us pointless colectibles like every open world game, they just copypasted the gameplay from mafia 3 because it was the last thing they had in mind, no time to fix ai, or other stuff like the trams and trains; finally the updates are useless, more aesthetic bs rather than tweaking the modes gameplay or freeride. Honestly, I just want mafia to die, or to be given to another studio, 2k or take two really makes things hard for their studios and hangar 13 is just a bunch of incompetent people and honestly, 2k should have closed the studio after mafia 3. Mafia deserved soooo much better.
