Initially I wanted Michael Sorvino, Matt Servitto and others to come back. Then the game came out. This is honestly the best game I’ve ever played. The story is still incredible and the acting is one of the best in gaming. Hanger 13 did the original justice. I’d have preferred them to do the GTA remasters over Grove Street Games.

Well, it's actually pretty simple. Sam thought that the girl would get off scott free and neither him nor Tommy would get in trouble. However, Tom left Frank alive, as well. As soon as the Don found out Frank was still alive, he sent a crew to also look for the girl. After he found the girl, he figured Tom left her alive. This would have never happened and the Don would never know about the girl if Tom killed Frank.

I honestly like this version of the priest whose trying so hard to defuse the fighting and flat out refuse the brine money. He doesn’t ignore the fact that Billy was a sinner but also thought that maybe the men they killed could of done one good thing despite being criminals if they would go so far as to attend the funeral of Billy

Changing the narrative to Michelle being crucial to Sam as opposed to be protected by Tommy makes for an interesting setup to the finale, and is way more logical. It's interesting how they changed the narrative while remaining true to the original game.

I kinda don't like that direction. It shows less of the personality of Tom. It should have been Tom who decided to spare the girl himself instead of following Sam's request. Also later on in the game, Sam blames Tom for sparing the girl. At this point it even makes less sense because it contradicts the previous part.

It's a good remake but I prefer the original church scene where after Tommy clipped all the gangsters, he have a touching conversation with the priest and when the priest said he didn't have enough money to cover the damage, Tommy gave him some money and asked the priest to pray for him and priest promise he would. Shows that despite being in the mob and doing things for the mob, Tommy is a good person with a good heart

It's funny that Sam had regulars and even convinced Tommy to let Michelle disappear. In original, Sam had to finish the job and letting her go was one of the reasons Tommy died. Also, mission in the brothel is mixed with that kid funeral. Well, this creates a big loophole in story for "true Mafia fans", don't it?

This mission will make you rip your hair out on hard even if you’re bald. Enemy AI has X-ray vision and lands perfect shots every time, but you have to be fast and precise with the most stiff and abysmal aiming mechanics. The cops also have unlimited spawns and doesn’t stop coming when you’re leaving the church. Grand Theft Auto is a billion times more fair and lenient even with 3 or more stars lol.

Willzyyy Absolutely. After Hangar 13’s highly disappointing Mafia III, this was a pleasant surprise. I think that the way they reimagined the story is fantastic. The actors did a great job as well and Tommy and Sarah are just adorable. And I agree about this being better than the original. Sure, the 2002 version was mindblowing back then in terms of graphics and storytelling, but the core game mechanics (driving, shooting and that god awful race) have not aged well at all imo... Anyway, a really good game and the fact that they didn’t even charge a full triple A price for it was nice as well. The only kind of bad thing from story perspective I can remember is how Frank got on the plane. The exchange between the two was so awkwardly executed haha EDIT: and the musical score is amazing
