@vision821k4 Жыл бұрын
@@atownish1488hh Actually, when it's written as a biography, that has nothing to do with "story telling" that has to do with embellishing and more often than not straight up lying. I did do my research, I've been fascinated with the mafia my whole entire life, that's why I know what pieces of manipulative shit they are. And despite being manipulative pieces of shit, this guy became a rat and at least the one redeeming romantic quality of being loyal to his crew is out the window. So what kind of person are we talking about here? I don't have to say these things about Larry Lawton, you know why? He actually became a decent caring human being while ALSO not becoming a rat to save his own skin.

True but it's also a myth that the mafia never sold or trafficked narcotics. They had so many rachets that was just one so it was contracted out to other families an other organizations. Look at the deal Lucy Luciano made with cia way way way back in the day. There's a really good documentary I heard about on Mike cox podcast that details how when prohibition ended a certain 4 organizations branched off The Irish went in law enforcement an politics The you know who went finance an trade The commission was left with control of the streets an rackets. An over the course of a hundred years it has traded hands many of times.

it was a different era in a different world, the life became obsolete, no such thing as classy criminals anymore, no more clubs, no more operations, just troglodyte gang members with no vision and no sense, fact of the matter is most of these mob guys were genius business guys who could of made a fortune legit, but that wasn't the street they grew up on, so how could they not be nostalgic, there's no more criminals with codes or honor, no more secret societies except for in politics who are the new crime families. No more old guys in suits walking down the street give hundred dollar bills to these street kids with a hustle. Now its just bastard kids with no families, no plans, no vision, no direction, its just make some dirty money spend it all on stupid shit until the next dumb kid shoots them and takes their spot on the corner. As an italian these mafia guys are despicable, parasites but they were our parasites, and they kept the streets clean, not from some moral stance, but because a quiet street wasn't catching heat, not like the modern ghetto with a kid getting shot every 5 minutes with an army of cops trying to stop them watching everybody. the safe italian neighborhood was a by product of it being the territory of a secret society that stayed under the surface, thats why gotti was such a shit head, he became a celebrity for being the head of a secret society.

Wow people really like to hate on this channel!!! Smfh! It’s for entertainment first of all and second if you haven’t already heard pretty much every mob story by now you must have been under a rock cause I could play a gangster just from growing up around people that were actually gangsters so just enjoy it for what it is

This is an interesting one, for sure …(I’m only 56mins in) But, man, can you please just ask the guest a question, and let him answer without immediately jumping in and asking 4 more questions ….(steering him down a different path) I know it’s very exciting to sit there and interview someone that lived first hand with some of the most notorious mobsters, but I feel like you’re costing us (and yourself) valuable information or parts of his stories that make it more interesting, by jumping in before he’s even finished answering the first part. I still enjoy the interviews, but it’d make them much better and more enjoyable to not hear you cut him off so you can ask him another question. It’s easy to forget a certain question you want to ask, while he’s in the middle of speaking, but maybe try some index cards with bullet points and/or specific questions you want to touch on….& just allow the guest to speak. Just my own 2cents, man. Still love your content and looking forward to finishing the back half of this one. ✊🏼✊🏼

I couldn't disagree more. I think he did an excellent job of getting the guy to explain things.

Thank you, sir. Also, the interviewer needs to do more RESEARCH, ' What's a bagman'? Good grief. That guy is woefully uninformed about the life, rules, and lore of LCN. Thankfully, the subject kept him on track...

ive been commenting this on every one of his videos. This guy will never, EVER listen to his viewers. This fucker interrupts his guests more than anybody ive ever listened to, yet i still watch for his guests... Cant stand the interviewer anymore though. It's horrific. He doesnt even give a flying fuck what his guest says so that he can say what he feels like saying.

@@thomaswhitty9452 what??? He said they dumped dish soap down the sewer drains 3-5 blocks away to try and clean out the fuel they were dumping. Don't know what you're replying really.

Dish soap cleans oil lad. Petroleum cleans everything. You don’t know what you’re talking about

@@thomaswhitty9452 what are you saying I don't know what I'm talking about LAD I laughed at what the guy was claiming. I didn't make any claims of my own. Dude go on somewhere else.

Ok calm down just saying that dish soap would clean oil out the sewer. And why would they throw gas away. Dirty oil is useless. Gas isn’t think he just made a mistake saying gas rather than oil
