The base mod "KNG Car Customization" is made very poorly. If you want it to NOT crash your game every second time and have more control over opening it edit the code in the mod file (KNGCarCustomizations.lua) with a text editor of your choice (I use Notepad++) and REPLACE the line of code with wwhat Iv'e written instead. This will make it so you can launch the car customization menu with the "Insert" or "INS" button on your keyboard instead of it launching right ater Script Hook and crashing your game.
