SNL doesn't usually expect the cast to remember or even always know what they are going to say or do in a sketch so it's all on the teleprompter. Gwen thought when they had her come out that what was on the screen was for her so she went to hop in but it wasn't her que. You can actually hear her faintly start to say "Ladies-" and then catch herself. Peter's voice was just very loud over it. She continued like a boss but definitely didn't lip sing.
