Wanted to be a devil's advocate here, but fuck it. I don't care for GTA 6 or anything they're baking rn, all these years after 5's release they could put an effort to properly remake 3D era games, even if the bundle would've cost more than 100 bucks. Just taping UE4 on top of pc port of mobile port of pc port of console port with electrical tape, without even considering fixing bugs from og ps2 release is unacceptable

The cars were better done in the original. They looked more like the cars they were based on. I bought and restored a Cadillac V16 after playing the original game. In the new one they seem like an afterthought. The hearse is the most egregious example.

My favourite car? Black Metal 4WD. LITERALLY bulletproof. Back in 2002/03 I have spent countless hours destroying gangster cars and roadblocks :-) As long as you in the car they can't do nothing to you. Collision with a "Bolt Ace" - Ford T also looks funny. One good hit and it falls apart, starts smoking and explodes. From the regular vehicles [not Free Ride Extreme] - definitely Lassiter sedan. It's fast, heavy - not that easy to destroy, good handling. Morello car only looks cool but it's actually nothing special.

if you do, just know that classic is extremely difficult (ESPECIALLY with the damn race mission) and also on the mission “happy birthday, do NOT quit the game or restart from the last eat checkpoint before you drive to your objective. there’s a nasty glitch where you can get stuck and can’t move. the only way to fix it is by restarting the game.

Here's hoping for a Mafia 4, I'd make it a prequel personally; could start in WW1, like you're a normal guy who gets drafted into WW1, come back, don't have anything (insert tragic story arc), get caught up with Al Capone somehow, and that leads into the story with Salieri and Morello.

The only real problem with ps2 was they didnt give trigger support/ trigger controllers. Shame really. Every other console had triggers by then, xbox, GameCube, dreamcast.
