They definitely don’t have all their money. They have to find other ways to make money. The government doesn’t let them keep their illegal money, they often have to pay millions in restitution. However they live now is based on the $1.5k per month that the government allows as a stipend, plus whatever they earn in their new life. If the wife worked a legit job, she likely kept her assets, but his are gone.
